Wow, that is some western hemisphere snobbery there! 7.7 billion people in the world, 2.8 billion Christians and Jews.

Michael Buble was on the Graham Norton show on Friday night, and whilst I think he's very good, seems a genuinely nice person etc, he did say something I picked up on. His son has had cancer, and thankfully is now better, but he thanked God for curing him. Not only is that insulting to the oncologists who saved him with their skill, but if he stretches it to say that they only have that skill because God gave it them, then by the same token his son only had cancer because God gave it him. Either he's in everything, and therefore responsible, or he isn't.

I hate Christmas as it's so commercialised. Since having kids it is fun watching them love it

So my 2p worth on the whole God argument.

I'm a believer in the Scientific principle. There is no such thing as proof, only substantive evidence that is convincing enough to accept a particular theory.

Given the evidence (or lack of it) for both arguments for and against a God, one can neither substantively "prove" whether (s)he exists or not!

For me personally, its a load of bollocks that makes a lot of rather evil people very rich and powerful, but I can't prove that, so the argument is somewhat pointless!

Be nice to one another - Live and let live!

I think this is why I hate Xmas more as I get older (well, apart from possibly just becoming more miserable ). I actually quite like Xmas day, we always have a good time, and I appreciate that there is always going to be a build up, but FFS, some lights have been up since October! The lights are up in the town where I live, in the town where I work, the card shops are full of Xmas cards, and have been for weeks!

At least leave it until December, you *****!

Rant over

Thankfully we evolved a lot and got much better toys.
Big loader was a favourite, until we got to Commodore 64 times
