Question

If anyone wants an amp or two (Philips DAP600 (4 channel, bridgeable) or Alpine 3522s (2 channel, small amp) make me an offer.

Also, if anyone is after a basic equaliser (Kenwood 4042a) I have one. It's more a sub crossover with variable x-over and frequency, and dual amp balancer. Fits neatly in the subaru's ash tray.

Cheers,

Nick

Phillips will do a sub nicely and the Alpine will boost a nice pair of components.

As for the Kenwood graphic boya and girls....well its the dogs. You can totally change the dynamics of the sound with this.

I would take em off ya nick had I not completed my setup

Its good gear boys and girls, id be snapping his hands off!

Ronaldoh

Are you on commission or are you two the same people?

Chiark

How much are you after? The Philips amp was about when I bought my Denon thing in 94 - is that right?

Commision? Fraid not Doc. Just offering advice where its due, to the mass'

Its good stuff....and I think if your claiming the "denon" do you mean the large black 4 channel that powers quiet a few peoples setup who were lucky enough to get hold of em. If its the one I am thinking of, these are quiet rare

I initially installed my DCA 800 in 94. It got good reviews at the time, if a little noisy - ? fan related. I'll let you know how it sounds in the Scooby Doo. Local ICE shop doing the install. Don't have the time anymore and I prefer to keep the skin on my knuckles.

They are quite ready to slag the amp off - "long in the tooth" etc. Must admit I do fancy one of those phoenix or rockford doodas.

Happy listening

Martin

The Philips was around 1993, and the Alpine was around 1995 as was the eq, though the eq is still in the lineup. The amps are old, but work well.

I have nothing to hide about 'em. They've served me extremely well, and aren't being used so it makes sense to cash 'em in. The philips in particular was an excellent "budget end" amp, as it was 300 quid in 1993.

The title was "cheap christmas pressies". If you're interested, feel free to make an offer.

Fluffy dice and scooby doo: nope. non negotiable this one!

If no-one's interested, no problems at all. I thought someone may find them more use than I'm finding them

The rockford and Phoenix gold is much better stuff, but this is cheap . Saying that, the phoenix and rockford stuff was exceptionally well priced.

For anybody out there who doesn't have the budget for Rockford or Phoenix gold kit I would snap up the Philips. This was indeed the budget amp to have back then.

At least as a stepping stone this amp makes big sense.
