Sorry if I have missed something here but by saying your new place do you mean your house? If so where is it. Britain or abroad.

My sister has just bought a leaf. Brand new and seeing it first hand I am more interested in them.
the sales man said: batteries last 8yrs and we will replace free under warrenty - I then said I bet they say you over charged it or something and the t&c’s say don’t leave it on charge! She has an option to stop charging at 80% so can never over charge.
it can do 101miles on a full 100% charge and here’s the bt I liked.
it can be fast charged in 20mins to do 80%!
yes it’s still not as great as petrol but it appears a lot better then I first thought.

Next year there is a bigger battery, more powerful motor, so increased range and performance.

It's not really a cost saving though is it , since she could have saved fortune by buying a 3k fiesta
No , she's keen to save the kiddos from choking on inner city fumes

London derserves everything that's coming to it. If they hadn't have bodged the planned ringways, traffic wanting to bypass London wouldn't be getting stuck with traffic moving through, in and out of it. http://www.pathetic.org.uk/features/ringways/
This lack of foresight is the reason for its pollution problems....a moving vehicle pollutes far less (catalysts don't "light off" at idle so you will find many petrol engines and diesels putting out far more pollution when sat in traffic).
Still, they insist on expanding a airport where its road network is Europe's busiest, which does not cope with current volumes and actively prevents travellers wanting to bypass London in order to get to their destination due to local traffic that shouldn't even be there if the inner ringways did their job. What is the point of expanding an airport you cannot get to because of insufficient road and rail capacity?
