The outdated motorway charging network mainly run by Ecotricity is to be replaced with 350kWatts capable rapid chargers.
The app/membership is to be scrapped with contactless payment system. This is form all charging payments will be moved over to stopping multiple payment methods from numerous networks
I was trying a Instavolt charger yesterday, it was almost as simple to use as the Tesla network. A Mercedes EQC pulled up from the local dealers. The driver didn't know how to plug in the lead, as the lower CCS socket was covered with a blanking plate. We had a good chat, he explained they were having problems with rapid charging on some of their EQCs, he was there testing for repair shop- due to dealer not having a rapid charger
. Just got into the sales of EVs
He was very surprised that my model 3 was less than £50k whilst the car he was driving was £76k and more with less range, less power and no necessity to visit dealers for vehicle updates.
He was grateful a Tesla guy helped him sort his minor charging connection

Interesting to hear that any savings we’ve made so far “for the environment “ by going electric has been more than negated by people folk buying larger unnecessary power guzzling SUV
...and Tesla no doubt

Legacy manufacturers dumping SUV on the market at ridiculous lowered prices. Id expect Norway's already clean atmosphere to have improved a little. But cancelled by German coal powered electric power network
Germany's dependence on coal power is terrible, but a consequence of public pressure to phase out Nuclear. Germany is doing very well on renewables though and there is a plan to phase out all the old brown coal plants in the old East Germany.
I'd quite like to visit Zollverein Coal Mine site, looks for an interesting day out. Don't think they do underground tours, not sure if the shafts are capped or filled, but still a great place to see the industrial past. Bit of a different scale to Caphouse
We need a much bigger change in culture regarding transportation than simply replacing like for like! And transportation anyway only makes up a small part of the much big picture when it comes to reversing climate change.
We desperately need to avoid the mentality of "buy an electric car, job done!" when it comes to tackling climate change - but sadly that is the message that governments around the world are giving because nobody is really willing to implement real change, only easy superficial changes!

Exactly the reason why autopilot should never be allowed in its current form. If its not fit for consumer use, then consumers should not be using it!
Also don't so much like the idea of being stuck in an EV with the batteries on fire that cannot be put out until they've burnt out!

Any idiot who gets in a car with no driver and sits in the back with no chance of regaining control deserves everything they get.

For the rich boy restorations that are only bothered about a car's looks where the cars do 30 miles a year and then need the carbs rebuilding every other year because the ethanol in the petrol has wrecked them.
Electric 250GT...you know some **** will do it....and then put the original v12 in their lounge to use as a coffee table

M25 Royally f**ked for everyone today...Oh for an alternate motorway to skip round and save having to head to the capital before heading back out again in order to go to/from Europe....
Anyhoo...Is that a Model X or a glass roof Prius pointing the wrong way in lane 3/4 ?

New Rimac EV just went 8.6 @ 171mph
World record with only road tyres & on a runway
Within a sec of fastest drag subaru's ever made and those were with drag slicks & a prepped track
Fossil burners have had their day

New Tesla Model S Plaid
4 door saloon
Quicker than Ferrari F8 Tributo & Huracan Evo
Fair to say the Rimac would have them licked
On track your Ferrari will soon empty it's tank as well
The Rimac takes under 30 mins to charge to full & should also go just as far as the Ferrari flat out & further with normal driving.
These old early 2000's arguments are no use anymore as the EV's have caught up and surpassed modern cars in every measurable way.
In the 20 years since the bugeyes that folk still try rave about h make seem relevant the EV's have gome from Early Prius to Rimac levels of performance
In the same time Subaru can't fix their woeful 2.5 ringland issues & still put out a car with pretty much same power & drivetrain.
I love a nice sounding car too but noise doesnt win races
Nice things cost more
An RA-R costs 5 x what the base Sti does
Compare it to any other hypercar Bugatti included, all those 7 figure million pound cars.
They used the ferrari sf90 because its the fastest ferrari to date...
Can use a La Ferrari if you want the prices to be the same it's only gona destroy it even more
You want the best. Quite often you pay the most....
