Koni recommends measuring down, from the top of the strut, for the cut-off distance. Their measurements can leave very little overlap between their rubber cover and the metal strut body - because of variations in strut body design.
I use the following measurements (they only apply to classics):
Front - 98mm from the floor of the spring perch, up to the cut-off point.
Rear - 72mm from the floor of the spring perch, up to the cut-off point.

I think from looking at the reference pics 2pot posted on the previous page that the struts were the wrong kind.
Ive uploaded some pics from my phone that are not showing for me on my pc at the moment, the koni inserts are too small and just slot straight in.
Gutted.

I'll be gutted if they're wrong, they came off my v3 my97 car so I assume they were the ones you was after?
If they are wrong, you are a fair distance away but I would sort a refund out if needs be.

The 8610-1351 front kit should also come with 15mm deep reducers.
These get tapped into position, at the top of the housing, ONLY IF your particular front housing internal diameter is too big, for the 3 locating lugs on the insert.

Are the rear housings too large or just the fronts?

What numbers are stamped into the tubular struts housings?

Reducer, before being tapped into position

Thanks for the reply guys! Ive just got back in and am heading into the garage now. I dont remember seeing reducers in the box, BUT... i wasnt looking for them, i had only seen the koni video on youtube and written guidelines where no one mentioned reducers.

Rich, even if they are the wrong struts i dont want a refund, thank you ever so much for offering!
The price was fair and included the whiteline top mounts and springs, and the onus was completely on me to check what i was buying was correct 😂
Thank you tho, i really appreciate the thought!

Heres hoping i find reducers and the back inserts fit!

Just to say all is well! Found a bag with some reducers in and everything fits!
the back struts are thinner and the konis dont need a reducer!
Thanks for the help guys!
I was really tired last night and just went straight into panic stations lol, i felt my world collapse 😂
Back to cleaning and degreasing now 👍
Thanks again!

Happened to me, the first time I ever fitted a front set - no reducers in the boxes
