Rick, if the above is also the case for the MY97/98 cars, then best to go for 215/40 R17 instead...

OEM 205/50 R16 R.C. = 1922mm

215/40 R17 R.C. = 1898mm

Mine is a 1997 model .I already have 215/40/17 tyres .So should I stay on them

If it was me, then I would, regardless (unless they happen to be plastic ditchfinders).

Me too. Mine is a 98 car.

I went to 17's since the 16" tyre size chosen by Subaru was relatively rare, and thus, more expensive to buy.
In fact my FIRST set of 215/40 17's plus new 17" WRX wheels cost the same as a new set of the 16's would have cost for just tyres!!!

Yeah, agreed. Plus the lower 40 profile looks great over the 45 (with hardly any payoff in ride comfort).

Not sealed properly.Pulled back the a pillar trim and you could see it running from the top of the screen 🙄 I've put some tiger seal on so will see how it goes

I'm having a new screen fitted on Friday now .After thinking about it I'm just papering over cracks

I recieved my brand new hazard switch and it will only work if I press the switch half way 🙄 starting to irritate me now

Had the new screen fitted today.The old one was knackered he just pushed the old screen out 😳

I was lucky just light surface rust.It got wired brushed ,rust protector and primed.Before installation using pilkington glass

Take the switch apart and see what's going on....
I took mine apart to replace the bulb,some thing might be adrift inside.
