Spent some time trimming the bumper today, I was a little worried that it wouldn’t fit it needs a little more fettling to get it perfect once more cutting discs arrive.
The CAE Shifter I had ordered arrived last week, it’s sitting waiting to be fitted along with an AP brake kit and a few other goodies, can’t wait to get it back on the road.
Walton Motorsport have done an excellent job on the exhaust work, it is a 3.5” down pipe with an oval section where it runs under the subframe. The rest of the exhaust will be made out 3.5” pipework once suppliers reopen.
Progress made today fitting new front wheel studs and brakes, I did want to
fit ARP extended wheel studs but this’ll have to wait until I fit new hubs as the existing ones are fairly corroded and they’ll be a right pain to remove and refit without damaging them. As a back up plan I had a new set of OEM studs laying around which was handy as I had already knocked out the old studs.
I also picked up the exhaust manifold, wastegates and downpipe from Thermo Met this afternoon; All ready for final fit up.
Have heard great things about them. I thought it is best to order a new set of injectors that are compatible with all fuels rather than use the ID2000 injectors and end up swapping them at a later date.

Running them in mine and previous to that I ran their 1050's. Never had a problem even with her meth habit
never had any issue with the new(er) Injector Dynamics redesigned injectors as they are compatible with pretty much all fuels...........
I'm sure the ID2000 set i have is the older variant, they're a used set i purchased quite some time ago for future use, i'll put them aside for a 2 door type r project that i want to start next summer.
In between life getting in the way I’ve managed to make some progress;
- Dry sump lines have all been covered in fire sleeve, fitted up and the whole system has been primed.
- ASNU 1500cc injectors fitted.
- Breather pipework fitted.
- Turbowerx Exa turbo scavenge pump fitted.
Outstanding tasks:
- Turbo oil drain pipework
- Fuel pump carrier AN fittings and pipework to swirl pot
- Wire in the the rest of the sensors to the Syvecs ECU, load a basemap, tweak IO and get it running.
