Progress made over the Christmas/New Years break from
work:
- Fuel pumps and Aquamist kit installed and wired up in the boot.
- All lines and wires ran from the boot to the front of the car.
- Engine bay wiring loom modified for JDM big port heads and installed.
- Front end stripped in preparation for a custom front mount exhaust manifold, custom Garrett cored intercooler and a custom water radiator. All measured up and materials have been ordered.
The plan is to make everything fit in front of the engine without space framing the front end. It’s going to be tight but I’m going to give it a go.

Coming on nicely mate, maybe a fancy new strut brace will be a good celebration once it’s complete
Quick question, what’s the logic behind the front mounted turbo? Shorter manifold for faster spool?

Progress is being made slowly;
The Garrett 600x300x76mm Intercooler core I had ordered has arrived along with a Mishimoto triple row radiator (MMRAD-UNI-25); they both should fit in front of the slam panel. Two SPAL cooling fans will be ordered shortly.
A replacement bumper bar will be fabricated along with the mounting brackets and intercooler end tanks.
I fitted the turbo oil feed line along with oil pressure and temperature sensors, in preparation for priming the oiling system next weekend. My personal neo grinta steering wheel has also been fitted.

I stumbled across this thread recently, another “front mount” () turbo build: https://www.scoobynet.com/projects-4...o-project.html
the steering wheel’s nice & clean too (floormats are a bit suspect ).

Yes, I plan to sleeve all of the oil/fuel lines, currently waiting for a Turbowerx exa scavenge pump to arrive from the states before i finish all of the oil lines.
The manifold, down pipe and turbo exhaust housing will be sent off to to be coated by zircotec.
