By the same token the go ahead to use the blues and two's should not be considered cart blanch to do as they please.

At the end of the day all the force is doing is shifting the onus on to the driver and abdicating responsibility for the actions of their officers... it's just bollocks to avoid costly legal claims on the force... if they dismiss someone for mis-conduct then they shift the blame.

As usual... it's all about the money honey.

It isn't used where and when we like - its only on specific calls where its gets authorised.

Up to now if we get 'buzzed' by a camera we can evidence the nature of the call and the fines gets waived. Now it appears that will not happen - so i suggest that we travel to everything at 30mph and stop at every red light.

All emergency service drivers need to be held accountable for their actions... just like any other segment of society... no one is above the law.
We will have to disagree on this one !

Emergency services should be able to do whatever it takes to save someones life. Sure they are intelligent and skilled enough not to be too extreme and careless.

No way they should be fettered by any restrictions
