Hi
I have a feeling that the election is going to be suspended/postponed - in view of what has just happened in London.
May and the rest of the cabinet will have Cobra meetings today and will be too busy to electioneer and appear on chat shows.
Cheers
Steve

Don't think the election can be cancelled unless a state of emergency is declared; Which would be an event where military control/action is required.

As of current we have no government to change any current voting legislation...the old ritual of the Queen dissolving the current government is the reason. It's a technicality, granted, but it is how our political system has always worked.

I recently tripped across some comments in the usual news sections (I really shouldn't read them, but hey ho) where Labour fanatics are claiming that the Manchester bombing was orchestrated by the Tories to weaken Corbyn's potential of winning. I thought I heard it all, until I read that and had to make sure it wasn't posted by a teenage troll or Icke fantasist LOL. These loonies need to be locked in the same mental asylum as the Jihadists

Why would they postpone as that's giving into terrorism!

Its true however that it makes Corbyn look weak - yes he's bleating on about police cuts (which are ****) but he fails to mention that he consistently voted against all counter terrorism measures for years, I suppose he'd just light them a candle and give them all a cuddle.... whilst opening the country up to yet more unfettered immigration, and Diane Abbott in charge as Home Secretary

Shame as I do actually resonate with some of the Labour Policies - but I couldn't have those 2 running the country with their stance on Immigration and hardline anti-terror laws (which don't go anywhere near far enough already as May is beginning to realise)

I think its getting to the point where if the Government don't do something effective soon, the vigilantes will - and we all know how that's going to end - Civil War anyone?
