I'd rather sleep on a wooden board than a bad mattress. In fact years ago when I did some work on a Chinese rig, the 'beds' were plywood boards covered in a blanket. If you sleep on your side you would get a bruise on your hip, but you could get used to sleeping on your back and it wasn't so bad.

Japanese don't bother with beds at all it seems . Got to be cold though!
Would save a fortune

I imagine a water bed would be have lifetime guarantee as well

Seen your GP about it?

If it's not ok after 4 weeks I would.

I've soldiered on with injuries in the past and have had ab and thigh tears which were never ok again even years later. My thigh tear took two years before I could even jog comfortably. In hindsight I should have pestered my doctor.

On the topic of mattresses, can you get a reasonable foam one for £200? I'm fine with hard beds, and I can't afford £1500 for one lol.

All a GP will do nowadays is ask you to take some pain killers and come back after 8 weeks.

They won't refer you to a specialist no matter what the problem is. Someone I know was hit in the head about a year ago and has been having very bad headaches since then, all they requested was a scan but they won't prescribe her them because it's "not needed".

A total waste of time and a shame that this country that used to have one of the best health systems in the 90s has reached this state now.
