Collected the car on Friday after a five hour train ride. It's super mint and bloody fast, especially coming from a Fiat Panda lol.
Unfortunately the car threw up an engine fault on the way home. P0420, cat efficiency. I contacted EngineTuner about it and he said to take it back for a tweak. a 500 mile round trip isnt happening! Luckily I have it booked into Chevron Motorsport Saturday for fast road allignment and Bob Rawle shall sort it on the Tuesday.
The exhaust is plenty loud enough for me, I cant imagine having it without a resonator, it would be deafening. Full chat on equal length headers is a very different sound to your classic Impreza!
Towards the higher rev range is like hitting a wall also so wont be bouncing off the limiter any time soon.
Few pics below that I stole from Torque GT as I havent taken any yet lol.
I also ordered the rear spats and sideskirt HT Autos items which I shall finish fitting tonight.
Pick the car up from Chevron Motorsport tomorrow after its set up. Engine light is still on and due to various reasons I am now taking it to TDR on Thursday to get sorted. Then clean it Friday and Japfest Saturday.
I have been asked to go on the TRAX promo stand at the event also with a GTR and Evo
Bob Rawle says you cant map my year of car on 32 bit rom only 16. So its not a matter of dialling out the sensor error.
Wants to fit ECuTek to it at over £700.
Alan Jeffrey says different and so does TDR. TDR are 1.30 hours away, Enginetuner are 4.5 hours!
Yes mate.
I really don't know why the differences of opinion as all three are respected tuners. All I know is my car still isn't 100% and only has been for two hours of ownership.
It's now my time and money travelling around to sort it out.
This is exactly whats happening. Engine light on, SI drive stuck in sport and traction control light on.
The diff light is flashing too, I had the diff light issue with my car when it was practically new, the clock spring went and cost me £350. I was pissed off as the car was under warranty in Japan.
Just collected the car from Chevron and took it straight to Mexico.
It is still limited to 120mph! Is this easy to remove?
Code hasn't flashed back up yet after being cleared but let's see. Still taking it to TDR on Thursday.
