Single Seater Honda Fireblade Powered RWD Tarmac Buggy Build
#63
Well, it’s actually all finished and I managed to test it just before lockdown🙌🏻
goes like stink, definitely the quickest thing I’ve ever driven by far.
It handles really well, feels nice and solid on the straight, couldn’t get the power down, the track was super slippy.
I’m looking forward to blast in the spring👌🏻

This has been very enjoyable to follow. Hats off to you sir.
My 2p (I know its not been asked for, sorry) is that the buggy would really benefit from some softer compound tyres with a load index suited for such a light vehicle. I had a set of those proxes on my car for a bit and got rid of them, they just didnt have any grip even when fully warmed up. I dont think you're lightweight buggy will ever get them in the right heat window. Maybe something like an Avon ZZS or Toyo R888R's would work better?
Please keep us updated on your antics!

15" would give you a load of choice

I thought my current tyres were 205’s but they’re actually 195 so it’s not a massive difference in width.

I've had a few sets of A048's on my track car and they were excellent. I'm absolutely certain that the compound will more than make up for the reduction in width.
But do keep up dated with how you get on!
