Yes but my point is a sequential box can be used on the road no issue but from a financial standpoint not really worth it

I have a sequential gearbox in one of my rally cars and have no issues when it gets driven on the road , its actually nicer when you flat change rather than using the clutch , and you can do that driving normally at legal speeds , the gearbox really comes into its own when driving hard though , gear change it so much cleaner and faster.

Yes they are noisier , and clunkier than a syncro box , but some people don't mind , or like that.

The car I have with a sequential box in is my Clio 172 , I did a rally in Pembrey on the 28th Dec , and on this stage I was fighting for the overall lead in front of plenty of Impreza's and Evo's , I was running second overall , until I out broke myself and ploughed through a chicane dropping about 40 seconds , still , won the class and finished 9th overall out of about 90 cars.

MY INCAR VIDEO'S CONTAIN SWEARING I LIKE A GOOD CUSS WHILE DRIVING SO NWS

I have a H pattern box in my 99 WRC Impreza , I wish that had a sequential

Given that all sequential boxes are based round dog boxes then I would have thought for the higher mileage on a road car the dog rings would become a frequent service item with significant cost.
