"You must just read the red tops"
Comments like that are my exact point. Such conceited ignorance.

I bet you lot were horrified when the Tories got the majority they did.

Of all the options the voters had to stop Brexit entirely or to get a 2nd referendum and the electorate voted very clearly for what they wanted.

Thankfully that means squids like you lot are a minority. You just make a lot of noise.

Roll on the 31st .|..

Just because the people want Brexit, doesn't make it a good idea!
They were also promised a deal going into that election, if they were promised a no deal, the election result may have been different, but we'll never know.
It'll be interesting to see how long Johnson keeps his job if it is no deal though

Talking of conceited ignorance, more people voted for parties against Brexit than for, but our outdated electoral system returned a minority government.

Andy, the Tories have a majority in the Commons, they received quite a bit less that 50% of the votes cast, even to struggling Brexiteer maths, that is a minority

That is why our electoral system is outdated, that is why it is not the will of the people

Dont be daft

The election was won on personalities , not policy

Jeremy smeared , and Boris jumped in in prefrence to lafarge ( cos who would really want him in charge )

Boris and Gove dont care either way they just like the power

Since WWII The biggest Tory majority was in 1983. Last years Tory victory was their second biggest victory. So however you slice it, the Tories had a thumping victory over liblabs. Labour lowest seats since 1935.

Even the SNP didn't get 50% in the last election.

Its sad losers clasping abstract points to spin how a major loss was a win

330 miles due west, 1200 miles from capital. Double the distance what the Canaries are from mainland Africa.

Like I said clasping

It belongs to the UK. The French ripped off the Spanish by selling something they didn't posses
The British, in 1765, were the first to settle West Falkland, but they were driven off in 1770 by the Spanish, who had bought out the French settlement about 1767.

And yet the clear option to stop it all got the least amount of votes. Funny that!

More proof you're living in a fantasy world. There were no major parties at the last election proposing to overturn the referendum result.

Err Libdems were. Given the amount of airtime by the BBC, Ch4, Sky, and column inches in the Guardian. Independent and the London remain centric rags

Jo Swinson even stated she was in the running to be PM. Only to find hardly anyone outside a few nutcase enclaves thought they were onto a winner. She lost her seat, it was such a bad decision to go against the people who had made a democratic choice to leave the EU in 2016

Outside London and a couple other cities the vast majority of England voted to leave and gave Boris Johnson the mandate with a 80 seat majority. 2019

Really, the LibDems are a major party? You must be chugging back the kool-aid by the gallon jug over there. Don't forget to come back up for air occasionally.

There are only a few parties in the UK. Labour dared not go against the red wall, but were seen through and got absolutely pasted. Libdems were a major English party. Not anymore, just filled with gender doubting drunks.

What sane party has a policy to discuss at the prry conference to remove male amd female words. Totally wokery

And there is the proof that you're completely blinkered maybe even naive.

Typical remainer attitude. Dont like something so try to deny or discredit it.

News flash sunshine, it was a clear option for all these supposed remainers to stop Brexit. The Lib Dems campaigned on that. If a huge amount of people wanted to stop Brexit dead that was their opportunity to do so.

What happened? They got the least amount of votes and their leader got the boot because of their dismal performance.

Like I said you're a minority and you're just the loudest, stamping your feet because things didn't go your way.
Tick tock, the 31st is coming!!

The majority in the referendum was small (and obviously not a majority if the voting population, and I accept that could benefit either side), the government does not have majority support. So you chanting about a minority stamping their feet is disingenuous in the extreme.

The referendum vote for leave was 7.8% greater than remain. Considering that the whole government juggernaut, virtually all the MSM, the celebrity luvvies, ex prime ministers and Barrack Obama and other parties all making up Armageddon stories directly after voting to leave. It could have easily been 25% victory for leave.

Harping on that the voting system doesn't suit your losing position is sour grapes at least.

16,141,000 voted remain. 17,400,000 voted leave. That is 7.8% greater. The 48/52 was percent of vote.

See how numbers can be used. Being a total national vote, the difference in actual votes wasnt that close.

Quite an achievement considering the push behind remain campaign.
