Something’s been brewing over in Iran for a while now...Why else would we be getting such an influx of Iranian migrants....and they aren’t poor either...one bought my house outright with cash!

Sanctioning the UK vs sanctioning the EU.
If it was a game, and it might as well be, I'd cripple the UK - ruin global trade negotiations, quick and easy, others will be quick to join the slaughter - then go after the EU.
It won't get that far though and the cost of our military action will be enormous as we bend over.

Hang on...you can’t go round saying we’re begging the US for a trade deal then imply we’re going to still get the same sanctions as the EU

Oz has pretty strict immigration criteria, well...better than the UK.
Would be funny to see a load of cockney snowflakes being shipped to a processing centre in Papua new Guinea.
That said, if you’re a firefighter, I think you won’t even need to show your passport (too soon? 
)...Mind with how the Grenfel bunch have blamed them, I think they’d be more welcome and respected over there.

My guess is they will come to a deal by the end of the year which includes an (phased?) implementation period. That way Boris keeps his end of year promise and there is still time to implement any new systems for the NI border and UK ports.

Wife had a major stroke, pretty sure that wrecked any happy retirement plans. 
Mentioning France though just reminded me of a pleasant yet troubled female graduate who is emigrating to rural France with Brexit being her main motive. As I’m tired of political discussions I refrained from informing her that a large part of rural France hate the EU as much as the Brexiteers, she seemed to be under the illusion that the Parisienne view is that of France’s...like London’s view is that of the rest of England....

France has its own Frexit party.
Truth is many rural French hate Parisiennes as much as ’rest of England’ are at odds with London.
Maastricht treaty votes were were split closer than that of Brexit!

Not looking good for the Car industry in the UK.
Hopefully now Boris has a commanding majority and no longer needs to depend on the ERG, he will listen a bit more to the needs of industry and remain in the EU customs union.
Fingers crossed, the Brexiteer celebrations will be short lived!

Yes, it's a significant conditional change, but anyone in the next 11 months ago claims the remoaners and doomsayers were all wrong has clearly misunderstood the whole process (and quickly forgotten that everyone is already poorer due to a weak pound and high inflation and low interest rates). For all intents and purposes, we are still in the EU and will be until at least 2021. Brexit could still be hard or soft, but until it really happens, nothing changes!
The world has low interest rates, the pound is what it is. It hasn't effected my manufacturing company, which imports alot of materials from the EU and around the world.
There will be no extension, we will be either trade deal or WTO. Actually I now see WTO being the preferred option, given EU has decided to put Spain's claim of Gibraltar on the negotiations front page. Pretty much guaranteeing WTO
