So Brexit seems to be a good thing then.

I'm sure somebody posted this ( https://www.politicalite.com/exclusi...h-by-election/ ) on here before but I can't find that post now to reference it. Worth a read.
That site is also extremely one sided. The idea that the Brexit party or Tories weren't also playing the game to gain extra seats is very naive!

I'd be disappointed if there hasn't been an investigation into these allegations if these events occurred as blatantly as reported...sceptic to say the least.

Just had a sponsored article (advert) pop up on my Facebook feed saying that Sweden had voted to ditch the Euro currency and the EU were furious!
Sweden is not even in the Euro zone and never has been and no votes have taken place in Sweden regarding even joining!
Total fake news that sadly few people will fact check, its no wonder people vote to leave the EU with this sort of disinformation going round. Facebook may well take the article down, but those who have seen it will not be informed of the lies they have been exposed to!

The creators of the fake news should also be held to account, this stuff is put out their and already does the damage before platforms like facebook can possibly react!

If people were shown the corrections to the fake news they had seen, the problem might not be so great!

I got this ad and it was about smoking, they listed other ads about Sweden and the euro which were also all about smoking, so I didn't even manage to get the fake news the headline was promising :-(

Another huge EU trade deal that we're walking away from
Only took 20 years to negotiate, and we thought trade deals were easy to negotiate! Still, I'm sure little Britain can negotiate a far better deal on its own in a couple of months

This has been the case all along, Wrexiteers seem to think we don't trade with anyone else apart from the EU and we will suddenly have all these markets opened up to us, but already trade with virtually every nation, and they will all have to be negotiated. What a waste!
Any large trading bloc will have the upper hand in negotiations with a single nation. It's lose lose!
Still, we will have taken back control.........

So yes, you can do those deals, but no deal will immediately wipe far more than £18bn off our economy, then you have the cost of all those tariffs until we can negotiate all these few hundred trade deals we will need, those ones that we previously had with rest of the world as EU members.
Now of course, some will say in the long term it will be better, and no one has a crystal ball, it may well be, but then it may not, and my never be as good or better, but one things is sure, it will take a long time, the damage to the economy alone will cause alot of hardship, so in economic terms, why on earth would anyone think it is worth it? Oh, I know, it's those tw@ts who stand to make a lot of money out of it, not the millions who are not privileged who acted like turkeys voting for Christmas.

Well, when a nurse asked why she had to use a food bank to feed herself due to her poor public sector salary, Theresa May replied "We don't have a magic money tree!"
So, here's your magic money tree.
An independent body has reviewed Police pay and stated that we should receive 15%. If done over 3 years at 5% should be plausible - this is the same group that did the MP's pay which they 'reluctantly' accepted at 7%.
This has been turned down by the government as they can not afford such a pay rise. So, from my point of view, we need a magic money tree!

Masters degree from Liverpool uni - so my education level is quite fine
So what don't you agree with - May saying that "I don't have a magic money tree?" because I quite clearly heard it
Or do you think public sector pay is fine?
I think it needs to change.
Immigration is another problem which needs to be dealt with instead of having an open border for all.

My wife was a teacher so am familiar with the need to pay civil servants more....I'm just not sure it's linked to Brexit; anything we don't give the EU (notwithstanding it is a net benefit so actually mean we get out more than we pay in) will be spoken for negotiating and managing any trade deals we have. So no money tree there.
Boarders are not open, have never been open and there are no plans for them to be open.
