It's never bothered me that much to sort,

As i have a working key which allows me to get in an out car,

The local back street garage i use can code keys through his snap on machine

That's good...mine didn't bother me having to use code...up until my dad locked it by entering the wrong code and couldn't get it started til morning...that's what made me start wanted to get the key reprogrammed so he couldn't do that again 😂

True but its free and beats paying a dealer to do it,

If i am paying would rather pay for the tools to do the job myself,
