When he does play he plays where Maureen tells him to tbh, Be it striker or Midfield, ultimately though he's a striker, a No 10, a like for like move imho

fantastic achievement by Wayne in the modern day era to equal Sir Bobby record playing 215 games and 3 seasons less is a truly remarkable feat and a testament to his ability and should once and for all shut his knockers & haters up

Yep fully agree....
I was sick of the witch hunt a couple of months back..
Rooney has stuck it right up all the "knockers" who had him finished.
To be honest it was all hype to sell newspapers etc, but he kept his head and just got on with it.
Fair play to him.

Agreed, he should be getting the plaudits for his achievements, well done Wayne.
Although I still think Bobby C is the better player of the two + Bobby was more of a midfielder than a striker so it stands to reason Rooney should get to 249 playing 200 less games.
I know one thing, had Fergie managed to prize Shearer from Southampton before he went to Blackburn and he'd had a 13 year career at United we'd be talking about Rooney going into 2nd place and still 100+ behind Shearer. Can you imagine Shearer playing for United in that era with that midfield creating chance after chance for him. All hypothetical ;-)

I remember when Shearer went to Newcastle, it was either the Sun or Mirror had him all kitted out in United's strip, it looked as if it was on the cards he was coming to us, but his Geordie pride took him to his boyhood club - what a waste of a career, he would have won everything in Football and although he was a great player he could have been in the Top tier of all time greats (possibly) Bad Career move Alan
Shearer was an out and out No.9, Rooney has played in deeper roles, so not a straight comparison ( Shearer / Cole yes)
The question was he better than him is pants, different era's, pitches, *****, fitness levels, Money, Champions League everything about football is so much more advanced
Rooney's not everyone's favourite, for me I thing he's been a revelation for us, right from the his debut....and he's still producing at the highest level

I remember when man u were after Shearer, but he was loyal to his club. Which you don't see much of today.
If he had of come to untied with the delivery he would of received from what i think was the best midfield of the 90's Giggs, Schools, Keane and Beckham. He would of by far got an insane amount of goals. Best penalty taker I've ever seen.

Massive game on Sunday, always the biggest of the season for me.
Shame I'm taking my daughter to see Impractical Jokers at the O2 on Sunday, I had to turn down a ticket just behind the directors box for the Lfc game

hopefully not, lets hope we really get into top gear and give them a good going over
1-0 in the last minute would do me in this game

Like many in this thread I have no time for Lfc whatsoever
But the club, police and all those involved need to be applauded for this.

I'm sure it would happen at any ground in the country so it shouldn't be any different if it was Lfc or Basingstoke Town but I found the story rather touching.

How were they? My wife and I love Impractical Jokers but watched a few of their other shows and not that good so were not convinced how it would translate into a live show.

Certainly wasn't the best thing I've ever seen that's for sure, like you say it is almost impossible to translate to the live stage.
4 poor stand ups ripping the pee out of each other, some small amount of audience interaction all interspersed with unseen video clips and a few unseen clips from their recent visit to London.
For me the best bit was the clips on the video screen, i.e. the TV programme.
6/10 probably wouldn't go again, although my daughter wants to go again.

We need a quality striker and another couple of young strikers to join up with Rashford, Ibra, Wayne
I'd sell Martial tomorrow, I reckon he flatters to deceive, he walks about like a Prima Donna and has done nothing to earn that importance
OR get him working harder and tougher
This could be a great season, I'd take both cups happily this year and build for next years EPL title 'Glory, Glory'

does anyone else think Gary Neville has lost all street cred after his disastrous venture into football management
I've listen to him the last couple of times he's been on SKY, he's so Man U biased it's embarrassing and his know it all attitude against Arsenal today was childish
all I wanted to do was turn the volume down when he was spouting his $hite, pity he hadn't put his 'know it all' experience into his short lived management career

I find myself squirming when I hear him waffling on as if he's the master tactician
I think he's 'becoming' the biggest Master Bater out there
God only knows what other teams supporters think of him
Give me Carra anyday, at least he unbiased, well a bit

Most neutrals I know love a bit of GNev and find Carra an annoying scouser LOL.
I wouldn't blame him for what happened at Valencia, the club and it's owners are basket cases.

we'll have to agree to disagree on that, I just find him way over the top biased for us and ultra critical of others
I like to view things equally and give credit where credit is due, apart from when it comes to Dalglish, Souness, Slippy G etc
