Might have been safer just reading the 'recommended some films' thread.

Either way what does it matter? Just don't watch it again.
Again.

What total bollocks.

Just because a group of people think it is or is not a good movie does not make it so.

There is not a system or score card rating to determine whether a movie is or is not good. That is complete rubbish.

It's subjective and based on personal opinion, that does make it good or bad. You can't pass off opinion as fact.

Exactly Jay, critics panned Dead Man's Shoes and 2001: Space Oddesy on release, but us discerning film buffs know they are both pretty special in their own right. Some films are that good you can't dismiss them even if their not to your tastes. Jaws, Star Wars and Wizard of Oz.

Some films seem to be rated higher than they deserve to be imo Withnail and I, Pulp Fiction, Heathers, but I suppose success and acclaim is an hard thing to argue against.
I tried it with an epic Beatles v Pink Floyd (success/exposure v brilliance/word of mouth) debate and made many enemies.
You can lead an horse to water...

Much the same as lots of people didn't think it was a good film.

What a stupid thing to post....
Wow, your time of the month? Nope I was saying it was my opinion and the general consensus. So, although you may have thought it was cr@p, in your opinion, most professional critics and studios and the layman alike, thought it to be a very good movie.

Now go and get a hot water bottle, put a tampon in and get some icecream....

I don't know why but I also have this urge to watch Gods of Egypt. It's supposed to be so awful it is good.

p.s. that's the opinion of most critics (professional and amateur) and, again, the layman.

Do we not live in a democratic society where the opinion of the majority is accepted as correct? That would make it a fact. I accept that there is no definitive scorecard for movies, heck most of what we do in life has no such scorecard, though the best thing are the reviews linked to in a previous post (Provided by viewers). You are still entitled to your opinion, it's just not in the majority.

On a more serious note, are you ok?

I thought the special effects were really good, however it lacked any form of engaging storyline.

He's not ok.

Look at him here, where he trolled me for having my opinion and for bantering with Pimmo and co., simply as a bit of leg pulling fun: https://www.scoobynet.com/non-scooby...lither-io.html

He butted in to stick up for the majority on the game lovers there with his troll appearance; although he previously showed no interest whatsoever in the game and made no post in favour of it. The man is an aggressive and irrational person with a massive chip on his shoulder. He simply doesn't know how to communicate in a decent manner with anyone, and picks up an argument for sod all in thin air. Ignore him.

Ah it wouldn't be long til you were involved would it.

You are quite pathetic actually. Following me round like some little fan club....

You make multiple hundreds of posts on threads with no relation to the subject matter, you quite often show no interest in the subject matter but post anyway..... pot, kettle, black......

Actually much like you posting on a subaru related website but showing no interest in posting on subaru related topics or discussion

Fury is a mixed bag....if you are into Tiger tanks...or more spcifically Tiger 131 (the only remining one in the world that'ss in working order and used in the film), you'll be annoyed by the "Hollywood inaccuracies", other than that, its not a bad film

Best of all...the tank is British (captured from the Germans in WW2 and preserved for various uses)

Yeah, I liked Fury. A German guy I used to work with was in it, as he was a part time actor, and helped Brad Pitt learn some German. I never did spot where my colleague was, in the film, though. Apparently Pitt was a pretty nice guy.
