I'm on the look out for RA-R seats at the moment for mine, few and far between though. Del, what kind of spec is yours at the moment?

Nice! I've got a catted downpipe atm, going to change that and have it mapped up. Not sure what power it'll make, but should be a bigger amount with the current mods and it's mild tune.

What do you think of the car overall?

Peedee, you'd drive past me to get to Camberley. I'm near J6 M25.

Just remember it's veryyyy loud with a full decat lol , the car is excellent , certainly the best Impreza I've owned not as raw as people say though although When I first bought it , it had cusco coilovers on handled like nothing else but to harsh and low , they where removed as its my daily

Mines on ohlins coilovers at the moment, it handles amazingly but is very harsh. Mine only being a weekend toy doesn't bother me too much though.

My next mod is fitting the braided brake and clutch lines that Hel have provided me with.

What boost levels are you guys running? I'm not sure what the stock pressure is.

I have the braided lines to be fitted also at some point, sure mine was just over a bar before mapping and its 1.45 and low boost setting is 0.8

Am I right in saying the wheels are shadow chrome as standard but there is an option of them in anthracite? I stumbled across a website with the Japanese brochure and showed the wheels in both colours. Here's the image from the page.

They do look nice slightly darker, how much did the RA wheels cost you? I might have to sell mine if I get bigger stoppers.

Thanks mate . She's not perfect cosmetically but it's nothing I can't sort out. I bought it knowing the imperfections so I could spend time on it and correct the bits myself. Mechanically spot-on though

Unfortunately I've not driven a 'normal' spec C so I can't compare, but I have owned a lightly modified non-widetrack blob JDM STI.....the RA is streets ahead in terms of overall performance even in standard form (IMO).

I'm not sure having a tool kit in an ra is a good thing.
It's a lightweight version so it was deleted and surely you aren't going to put a spare wheel in an ra too.

My vag didn't even come with a spare wheel or tool kit and that's a diesel lol

You need the tool kit on these as the wheel brace is 1 part of your jack winder and the RA on these models stand for record attemp not Rally altered maybe that's why you still get leccy window Cl AC etc

You learn something new everyday.
The ra and rar really do interest me a lot.
I'm sure these cars are going to go up in price in the future too.

They really are a league above the jdm standard model never mind the uk widetrack IMO in standard form that is obviously some big build cars will be better but not out the box, fancy a RA-r myself after owning this
