I was told there are only 300 of us! Don't know how accurate this is though.

Max is a top guy, bought my STI from him in February. Not like the normally pushy salesman, he'd rather sell to a Subaru fella than a boy racer! He only gets the best examples so no doubt yours will be a minter!

I was looking into that as an option, but I do like how well the car goes round bends on the ohlins. I need to drive a car with the standard pinks and see how it behaves I guess. I've got a UK STI also, the difference between the cars is amazing, it behaves in such a different way. The Spec-C is a real weapon.
On a site note....Not that I bought the car for this reason, but are the speakers in either of yours also very poor? I can imagine they are 1/4 size to save weight or something like that, but even with a powerful headunit I am unable to make music loud enough to listen to!

No knocking from mine, well, I certainly haven't noticed anything. I had a set of rear shocks replaced on my hawk STI so know what To listen for.......so far so good .
I have to say that this car is an animal! I've owned it for 4 days now, it is EXTREMELY precise when on the twisties and I'd challenge far more exotic machinery to keep up on a good B road. Leaps and bounds ahead of any Impreza I've owned to date

Couple of updated pics, taken over the weekend. Given it a good once over. Picked up a few little bits that need doing, but overall, very clean! First pic is the day I picked up the RA parked next to my old hawk that a good friend bought off me
Jobs completed so far -
Given a good once over - created a 'to do' list.
Crazy jap stereo / parcel shelf speakers torn out.
New stereo all in.
Red JDM hazard switch in.
Wheels off, cleaned up and arches / calipers / bells etc cleaned (already very clean though).
Headlights corrected.
Seat cover on.
Gearknob replaced with STi / Richbrook item (very nice!!).
Front number drilled and screwed on, rather than stuck with pads.
High-silver wheel nuts with McGard locking nuts added to match wheels.
Lots more to do! I will be starting a project thread very soon with more, better pics, so for anyone that's interested, please keep an eye on the 'projects' section in the next few days. Lots to come! Cheers guys

Cheers guys. Took her on a long (ish) motorway drive today. Have to say, 6th gear in this thing is very strong.
Zany, I'll post a pic up in a bit. However, it wasn't the usual oblong shaped holes mate. Each speaker had a long bolt on the back of it, which went through the parcel shelf and was held on the other side by a wingnut. Not something I'd seen before but a better way of doing it.

The wheels are a standard colour, just the light in the other pictures.
Mine is currently at 346bhp on a mild tune with a few little bolt ons. It certainly moves, it easily outruns a 386bhp UK STI. I'd be interested in seeing the difference between a standard one and my one, if you're ever in Surrey do let me know

So, this evening I decided to take the rest of the old stereo out and plumb in my own Bluetooth and DAB stuff. The old kit was well plumbed in so I had to remove trim and peel back carpet to get some of it out. No drama but took a fair bit longer than I thought it would. Had a bit of a touch though....still got the flare in it . Also put the JDM hazard switch in, transforms the dash Imo!

New mic all plumbed in
DAB aerial was pretty easy to do, was more worried about getting it to look unobtrusive....
Very easy to install, happy with the result too, barely noticeable!
Kenwood head unit is a pretty good bit of kit for the price. Not sure how I've lived for so long without DAB after going through all the channels tonight!
This was 'some' of the old stereo I took out. There were other wires that just got thrown. Fair old setup and no doubt cost the jap owner a pretty penny. The headunit weighs an absolute tonne though
