It will have an ECUTEK licence if its been mapped with ECUTEK, could be open source, but Im fairy sure its possible to see an open source map.
Lets hope this dosen't turn into another dealer fob off...its pretty common unfortunately.
As Fatboy said, don't touch or modify anything. Take it back, leave it with them, tell them to fix it, when you go to collect it, dont accept any 'ownership' of it back until you check it thoroughly and it has been fixed.
