You keep cracking on about the battery and nobody is going to take you seriously in that department, then you crack on about the display, you're just greedy for pie.
This is you

Read the site name, write it on a bit of toilet paper, lick it and stick it to you head, better yet have another custard pie and use that to hold it to your forehead.

Try Edge to edge displays with QHD resolution, retina scanner, power saving modes (see above Jack and pay attention this time), IP rating that doesnt insult the user, SD card support, Built in wireless charging, fast charging, 4GB of ram, a 'free' water proof stylus thrown in for good measure. Not to mention packing in all that and keeping that famous audio jack.

correct, iPhone users dont read up tech stuff (I googled this also, dont worry)
The rest of the 80% or so who buy Android phones and take up most of the market globally, well they read tech stuff and just avoid Apple
simples.
Jack, I am destroying you here, how much more pain can you put up here.

The funniest bit is you seem to think you've had one over on me.
I provide you with evidence that the iPhone has a better display than the Note and you reply with "correct, iPhone users dont read up tech stuff (I googled this also, dont worry)"
Just odd, are you registered disabled or on the sauce?

So come on then brightspark, explain how anybody would be able to establish that from a photo without being a colossal fanboi...

Android users care about the specs inside the devices, whereas, the average iOS user that I know personally just wants the device to be able to keep up with them, regardless if it has Intel, Snapdragon, Exynos, MediaTek, Kirin or Apple processor.
http://www.androidauthority.com/android-vs-ios-682005/
Androids ae preferred by the majority of people, dig up any number of surveys and find out what OS is preferred around the world, its not Apple iOS.
I would phantom a guess that these people do actually understand specs and realise they are getting a far better specified device over a comparable iPhone. dollar for dollar.
Its not rocket science.
Apple are doing an admirable job in charging top dollar for out dated iPhones and its a cut throat business so if customers like Jack and yourself here think iPhone 7s are worth this price, then go for it.
Apple are behind the times in hardware, at least a couple of years, probably more.
How so?
well fast charging and wireless charging are standard on a Galaxy Note 5, my old phone and apparently a favourite for our friends in the US of A also. This phone was launched in Q4 2015 and probably was in R&D stages in 2014, backed up by my link below.
According to the latest ACSI Telecommunications Report, America’s favorite smartphone is the Galaxy Note 5.
Aside from fast charging and wireless charging Samsung have the amazing AMOLED displays, widely accepted as being the best in the field right now.
Apple will in all probability have a OLED display next year, several years behind Samsung, who had early prototypes of foldable OLED displays in 2014
Besides the OLED display it will also have curved screens and a glass chassis, strikingly similar to what was on my Note 5.
http://www.oled-info.com/samsung-sho...ansparent-oled
http://www.forbes.com/sites/ewanspen.../#544235415f6e
The iPhone 8 is expected to ship with curved screens, vivid OLED technology, all-glass panels and an innovative glass chassis.
If you do any consumer study reports, displays and faster charging phones with bigger batteries would top most peoples wants. Smasung realise that AMOLED displays, whilst looking awesome can zap power, that is why they have the option to down grade resolution to iPhone 7 plus standard to gain about 35 hours extra run time. (custard pie anyone?)
Then you have device memory, again Samsung pack much more RAM over what Apple do and of course offer removable storage.
So instead of paying about £1000 for an iPhone 7 plus with 256GB of fixed storage space, you could get a Note 7 with 64GB of fixed storage, 4GB of RAM and a 256GB SD card (supports up to 2TB mind you).
Its not as expensive as the Iphone 7 and walks all over it in terms of specification, thats why it seems that (dumb) people still are keeping hold of devices that are due a recall and risking them get destroyed.
Samsung are doing a global recall on the battery incident, but going by the price of them on ebay it looks like this has not stopped people from wanting one and follows the trend when they were initially launched and Samsung struggled with the demand.

Apple hook customers into their eco system and once sucked in they are turned into iSheep, where Apple has total control of them.
Then you have the fact that iPhones are not very good itself, incidentally the lass next to me at work has an iPhone 6 and got a broken screen fixed about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Today I noticed it broken (again) and said what happened this, you just fixed it ? yup, I dropped it.

I clicked a link, it declared the Samsung something had the best display ever, the article was from last month, you may recall my praise for said screen a month ago, it continues to be awesome, but it's not the best display ever any more. All it has now are bigger numbers, a dirty secret and a grave risk of fire.
See my link to fool.com earlier to learn the secret.

The only fool here is you Jack.
Apple will move to OLED, probably by 2017, in other words a few years behind Android manufacturers.
They wil probably use Samsung as an OEM supplier as they are already on the books of Apple.

Apple may or may not move to OLED. Can you think of any reason they haven't? Can't afford it? Or maybe it's not the best idea right now. Same for your beloved fast charging and massive batteries, maybe they're not a good idea right now, can you imagine if Apple got that wrong, like Samsung.

FWIW its more than fancy screens and bigger batteries.
Samsung are also big on the VR scene and big on the much talked about OLED (expect foldable screens in the next few years, while Apple are launching edge to edge ones)

while Apple, well have taptic feedback.
Looks like they will have to buy that from Samsung too
