I suspect you actually need to view some 'mainstream media'

I don't mean to get at you here, Gary, but I'm struggling to understand your point.

It's a good idea to get into the statistics and it seems you know them well so , to confirm or rubbish my theory , let's look at the last 12months , how many Asians have been the tartget of terrorism versus non Asians and again what are the figures for those put out in main stream media

I'm not trying to make a point , I'm just thinking that are the terrorist attacks calculated or are they just mindless and random , it seemed new to me when I heard of the attack in Pakistan , was that just a mindless random attack or was there another reason for it , like to stop white people accusing all Asians of being terrorists ,

That's about the best I can do to explain the thought

Define "Asians" for me, please. Do you mean anyone that lives within the borders of the map below?

Or people who've left their ancestral home to come or go to a non-Asian continent? Do you mean just Muslims?

I think I know as much about what happens as the average person , I listen to the radio most days and hear the news that way ,

You suggested Asians get targeted more , have I got a different perspective on things from most people , I don't think so ,

But now after the attack in Pakistan , for me anyway , that's new , and makes me think that Asians are under as much attack as us now ,well not quite but a step in that direction ,

So I question if that is calculated by the terrorists to help against racial hatred and calm any conflict against Muslims in Europe.

It was Muslims killing Christians. Skin colour had nothing to do with it. Not all Muslims are dark skinned and not all Christians are white, by the way.

Don't you think you have a responsibility to inform yourself a bit more about these things. Especially as you are so keen on commenting on them.

BTW there are HUNDREDS of attacks in Pakistan every year

No not Muslims , the Pakistanis targeted were mostly Christian I believe , by Asians I more accurately mean people that look Muslim , trying not to be racist here

If you read back what I've said and use a bit of common sense you should be able to understand the point I was making , if not I don't think there's any point trying to explain it to either of you

At least you're trying to get a handle on it, the average Joe doesn't care. I think Martin's point is that it's worth doing a little reading before forming an opinion.

Thing is it wasn't an opinion just a consideration and it involves the thoughts and perseptions of the average person that relies on main stream media reporting to make an opinion ,

That the overwhelming majority of victims of terrorist attacks are residents of countries where the majority population is itself Muslim doesn't prove an awful lot, other than the fact that Islamic-inspired terrorists are pretty indiscriminate about who they target.

Well it puts to bed your idea that last week's attack in Pakistan is a new phenomena.

Yep, but as per my previous post, what does that really prove.

They are discriminatory, it's just that there's a very large set who fall outside of Salafist orthodoxy and are therefore fair game.
