Interesting reading . Id like to know the Presidents plan during the ban . What changes would he make before letting people from those countries in.
And what concerns do they have about the system as it is.
Without knowing that i cant judge his decision.
But it does seem to be badly implemented either way.
Any terrorists better get moving now in case the ban is put back in place.
I think trump is to late anyway
Interesting to see more Americans are in favour of the ban than against it though

reading back through that article and I see it incorrectly states that most are in favour of the ban. It depends where you look. I find most people, and not just my friends, are against. Plus many of the polls.
I find it interesting, seeing opinions of people in Britain, who are not out here in amongst it. I reminds me of when I had opinions of America and Americans, which were plainly wrong.
It's just insanity here and I have friends who are Trump supporters, with no logic to their reasoning, at all. It's bizarre. Now that there is no "but Killary and her emails" it's turned back to "but Obama" and then some random, nonsensical point that I can't get my head around usually follows that.
Fact is, Trump is a nightmare come true, the world is worse off for having him as the leader of such a giant superpower and nothing so far is proving that wrong.

Some polls appear to say that people are in favour, some say they are not. I have no idea what is what, to be fair. I will just say that in my opinion, there are a lot of alternative facts being bandied around.

It appears that how the polls are run is skewing the results.

I can well imagine this scenario in the near future. Screwed up college kid with history of mental illness goes back to his old college and uses his automatic to shoot a bunch of teachers and a dozen kids. Trump tut-tuts and Tweets that kids should be given guns to protect themselves. No thought about tightening gun controls of course.
The next week a disgruntled immigrant wounds a copper who is giving him a hard time. Trump goes ballistic, blames the judge, the press etc and opinions polls now report a huge majority in favour of keeping everyone out (except of course the Saudis who were mostly to blame for 9/11).
Footnote. Well done to the House of Commons Speaker today.

So, we decided to take a look at the latest such poll from CNN and "shockingly" found that Trump kind of has a point. For some reason, CNN/ORC simply can't seem to conduct a poll where the distribution of respondents mirrors the actual distribution of registered voters in the U.S. As you can see below, in the latest "oversample" farce, CNN decided that filling it's poll with Democrats was becoming way too obvious and, as such, just decided that 45% of registered voters are suddenly independent. From the polling methodology:
A total of 1,002 adults were interviewed by telephone nationwide by live interviewers calling both landline and cell phones. Among the entire sample, 29% described themselves as Democrats, 25% described themselves as Republicans, and 45% described themselves as independents or members of anot

I do sympathise with that view especially bearing in mind a host of previous overseas VIPs with dubious credentials who were invited to speak. On the other hand he is responsible for agreeing who is invited so there is an argument, albeit rather weak, that he is entitled to express an opinion. And I rather like the idea of someone putting their head above the parapet and rubbing May's face in it Personally I would rather Trump is asked to speak at Westminster Hall and witness many MPs walking out during his speech.
Just as long as he is kept waiting at Heathrow or Northolt while his credentials are checked

So if they can't find a real reason themselves to explain their actions, what the hell are the rest of us to make of it?
