I don't think I have an oil pressure guage on my hawkeye. Can I retro fit one myself?

First symptom's are normally the oil pressure warning light taking a couple of seconds to go off when the engine is started due to the fracture in the oil pick up pipe sucking air instead of oil.

If left, the pick up pipe will eventually break off and starve the engine of oil.
