Looks like one of our traders does not take care of our cars when test driving!

Yet you buy cars to break and advertise Duncan dynamite on your pages for mapping days.
I've noticed your quick to jump on here slagging, cars, mods, etc but yet look in the mirror, and the fact you plainly denied it was you when asked and said it was your mate blah blah blah.
Liars I hate, I wouldn't of minded if you just said yeah that's me, but trying to impresionate 2 people is really sad.

I've been to the clinic for quite a few meets and RR days. They are helpful and give good advice, IMO they go the extra mile to help people. Kev even tried to help people with 'pay monthly' but that stopped when 3 people ripped him off for over £3k each
Another customer went in for an SC42 fitting and mapping. Turbo was fitted but during mapping it wasn't making expected power, some things were checked and another SC42 was fitted and mapping started again. Same outcome. an SC46 was then fitted with a new cat back exhaust and got similar results. After further investigation the downpipe was replaced and mapping started again. The results went through the roof and made the expected power.
Now, that took hours of labour and was on the rollers for hours. all Kev charged for was supply and fit of turbo and full exhaust and the cost of one map. He must have been well out of pocket, but still charged a more than fair price
I've got some of Petter Solbergs race boots (bought from Prodrive) and one of the clinic lads is friends with Petter. He took my boots to Petter and got them signed for me
I very much doubt the 'ragging it down the lane' and don't think the lads are like that, but I would like to see the footage.
Also, I wonder if the clinic have any footage of them not blocking him in and them shaking hands when they give him the keys?????

Well I think it's time I jumped in with my 2 pence worth.
I don't really consider myself to be a big guy, but seriously there is like one guy at SC that is bigger than me and he is training for something like Mr Universe, the rest of them are to be fair something like 10 stone p!ss wet through, no dis-respect intended, but hardly capable of intimidating my Mrs let alone a grown man. Sorry ads
Fair enough if a pair of tw$ts got caught ragging a customers motor, I was in the trade before all this technology bollocks and it was common practice to go out and give the "hot" cars a good **** ragging, what can I say guys, how many of you wouldn't go cane a customers car with no come back, not too many I think if it was considered normal, as it was in my day.
Only rule was don't bin it and the only reason it became unexceptable was that a few of the guys broke the golden rule and binned a few cars.
I don't know all the in's and outs of this situation but honestly are there really people out there that think that one of the perks of working for a garage that deals with fast cars isn't being able to rag the **** off them. .

Moral of the story, he'll say they'll do the work to get you down then 'find' or create as it seems a shed load more issues and hold your car till you pay up or limp it home.

I wouldn't bother mate what they say and what they do are two different things, I was talking to kev for ages about simply mapping an esl he had onto my car, a simple task that took an hour tops by another mapper, took them nearly a week when, a bottom end, a heater matrix and by the time they had finished blasting my car a head gasket quoted on top of the nearly £900 I paid for the heater matrix and dyno runs an additional £2500. Took my limping car home, just needed a new temp sensor after all that twatting about.

The most disappointing aspect of this thread is its all hear say... And admin seem to let it go on...
Yet when I put a story up about the silicone saga in Rotherham and many more instances got posted the thread got removed due to the owner threatening the forum with legal action... And apparently me....

I call B.S!!!
Threee things.
There are so many holes in this guys story it's unreal. Anybody with an ounce of common sense would be able to see that. The guy should get an award for creative writing!
Secondly, these comments are hilarious. You've got people that have never been to the clinic and base their opinions on what they get told or what they hear. You've got garden shed tuners and breakers and mechanics that are addicted to silicon and sealant as a universal cure for everything a hammer and a lie can't fix. Or people that instantly believe everything they read. Newsflash: that thing between your ears that hurts when you think too hard needs exercise - use it for yourself.
I never had a high opinion of the clinic in the early days. Seemed a bit expensive, a bit laid back. But when the brown smelly stuff hit the fan and one of the previously mentioned garden shed mechanics wrecked my car they stepped up and not only got me back on the road but better than it was before. They most likely ran at a loss too with all the extra work and bits it needed even after I'd paid the bill and the return visits I didn't get charged for while they tweaked issues. Or fixing a minor issue just before xmas that turned out to be a massive one and helping me out with labour costs.
My opinion on this is simple. This clown was out for one of two things. Either free repairs for a previous accident or to try and make the clinic look bad so that certain so-called "specialists" could get one over. We all know a clown or two that don't like the fact the clinic do well and they don't, don't we?

I am a garden mechanic, does that mean i love silicone and the other billy bodge it stuff?
I have a motto of, if you want something doing, do it yourself as im picky with my things and like to know for peace of mind what/how its been done and not bolts left untightened.
Unless my knowledge or competence is questioned then i take to garage

Haven't been to SC in years but the service I had was second to none
Was there early for a removal of a few items. A remap and a few tweaks
Didn't get finished until 11pm. The car was on the dyno for at least 4 hours
Got a loan of there own car to potter around town in
Steve

First time I asked a mechanic to do a bit of work for me was to remove and refit my sc42 a couple of weeks ago as I was up to my eyes with work, he told me to bugger off and stop being lazy lol!!

Let's start with, "why drive 3hrs out just for brakes?"
Then there's the video footage. Someone who has seen it says there's nothing untoward and no audio, but the guy won't post it to back his story up.
Then there's blocking him in. If you've been to the clinic you'll know that there's more cameras than a cheryl Cole nipple slip. So if the clinic say they have him on CCTV receiving the keys and shaking the technicians hand, and it backs their story up from a legal point of view why lie? A d why risk further costs using a customers car that could potentially get damaged? Not to mention that the behaviour claimed from Kev is totally out of character. And in the scheme of things a tad excessive over a £10 bracket! we can go on all day but the story just doesn't add up.
