Richard @FB Tuning in Princes Risborough is probably the only tuner down south I would use. He's a one man garage, his own company and his own reputation and livelihood on the line so takes proper care of each vehicle. Im actually gona try and twist his arm to work on my new M3 even though he's a Subaru specialist!

The reality is this kind of thing happens a lot, and it isn't a Subaru thing by any means.

I know a few guys who work at main dealers, and you'd be amazed at the things I see and hear.

With more dash cams being fitted I'll hopefully make mechanics think twice before giving a customers car a 'proper' test drive.

I must admit I'm seriously thinking about getting a cam myself now. It's about trust and these two jokers, especially the driver, have abused their employer's and the customer's trust. Sack the muppets first and then begin the PR push to rebuild. If my car was in there it would be back on my property asap until I know the sackings had been very publicly announced - swing the axe. A real shame in so many ways - no one wins.

STi G

How can you still call Ben a clown and calling him a liar after seeing that video and defend SC

That is a shocking way to treat someone else's car.Hope your going to say sorry. But I doubt you will.

^^^ this! I worked at a Toyota service garage for 2 years in Surrey when I was younger, and I can tell you the **** that went on there was utterly disgraceful. 'Creating work' to increase the labour charges + takings.. all sorts of ****.

At this rate looks like there won't be any "specialists" left that we can trust and hand our keys over to.

Never had any dealings with Scoobyclinic but heard only good stuff about them,

Though, it's shocking to see how the guys you employ can damage your business and reputation within minutes.

I wouldn't blame Kev to be fair. No one is able to control everything in terms of what your employees are doing.

And to be fair, Kev reached out to the guy with request to provide him the video as a proof and got denied. He has even been told to never contact the op again.

If I were an employer I would also like to see the proof before taking any disciplinary actions against my employees.

Still, the way his employees treated the customer's car is unacceptable.

I have 2 cars that were maintained by them and it took me some time and cash to sort them out. And when phoned for advice got extremely unhelpful reaction so they definitely won't see me there...
Which kinda leaves me in bad place as need to find a new place to tweak my map and fit new injectors for me. Was going to go back to clinic...

The simple fact this has appeared on several different forums says it all about the OP in my opinion. If you're going to spend all that time writing up a story you'd definitely want to show the world your "evidence".

I'll wait in anticipation if not expectation...
So will you be donating your house then?

Dam only just seen this, i have to say i'd be taking legal action if it was my Impreza, i'd take it to another garage to get a quote for all round new suspension, plus alloys refurb and any other faults with the car and then take them to small claims court.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ole-video.html

This is why i don't leave my car anywhere i wait with it. Luckily my mechanic lets me work on my car with him, and when my car goes for mot i say with it. And the mot guy is my old boss so i trust him to a degree. lol

I can recommend Area52 Autosport which isn't far from Chesterfield. They deal with all types of performance cars and have had my old VXR8 and my current Widetrack worked on there. Very helpful and skilled guys, always busy and great on price to.

Same here, lad from spraying company was telling me a customer lets him take a nearly new focus RS to have the alloys touched up, he said he gave it a good thrashing on a few sections of road. I was shocked he was telling me this.
