Genuine question about jdm v UK differences in hatch variant.
I have no idea other than the engines.

UK cars have Double locking locks plus Sigma S series Alarm to give CAT1 alarm status.
JDM uses a different frequency for security features , single locking locks and no CAT1 alarm.
Then you have UK 330s and later which have the higher spec of keyless access (as against keyless entry) with push button start and Recaro seats.
JDM has the "20th Aniversary edition" which includes the above plus nearly everything produced by STI in the suspension department.
JDM also has the SpecC which comes with a variety of option packs, so most in the UK vary to some degree or other.
Various other minor differences due to destination market requirements.

Basically the same, even the ecu's can be switched between JDM(JP00)/ EURO RHD(EK00)/EURO LHD(EC00)/Middle East(KS00), which also effects some of the market options fitted.

don.my knowledge on anything after newage is limited.
so only real advantage albeit a big one is the 2.0 engine

Car is in dry storage lost all interest and
doing the whole mortgage thing mid 40s isn’t fun at the moment
car has been for sale for awhile no Real interest a lot of messers but noone genuine
ill sell it if I get the right offer at this rate I don’t see me behind the whee till 2024

btw...you say you car is laggy with the sc42 on it, was it laggier with the Owens turbo on it? And what happened to that Owen turbo? Cheers
