was speaking with Simon at chevron who I purchased the Owens turbo from
he’s saying it’s spooling 1500 rpm later than what the turbo is supposed to do
owens want to inspect the turbo why I have no idea
tommorow I’ll speak with the clinic and see what approach we take
a sc42 billet twin scroll i believe will spool 1k quicker
I’ll keep you all updated

Maybe it's just me reading the graph wrong but it looks like it'll be slower than just about everything on the road up to 4.5k revs even on meth. It's just so bad under 4.5k something must be wrong. I trust you when you say it's the turbo, I would want a SC42+ slapped on and show that everything else is sweet so Raggy can get his money back for the Owens turbo and a car he can be proud of. I know for certain that a standard 2.0l on 99ron + Meth can be an awesome daily drive @ 470.

Well done LAGGY DOO. The car has come a long way and the Clinic have saved a good car getting scrapped through frustration. It's making some very good power when it finally gets there and I'd be interested to see what Owens say about it on inspection.

dam thats some lag ,, but at least its a start and the problems the car had have been sorted ,, looks like there were quite a few problem with the car in the end

 

Correct , the car had a lot of problems created by so called specialists
let’s see what the car looks like it when we swap the turbo out next week

 

You should list all the problems found would make interesting reading to see all what was found on top of the mapping issue.

 

Playing devils advocate here, but if you had've left it where you were having problems and give them free reign and the same money as you are now, would you not still have been in the same position ?

 

You mean after 3 visits to Murray motorsport and bob rawle with a car did hardly start and wouldn’t drive
you think I should of went back again ?

the last thing I said to Davey Murray on my 3 visit was rip the car apart if you have to to find out why the front lambda isn’t working , 8 weeks later car comes back exactly the same
I stood out side his workshop watching him cranking the car over 30 times to get it to fire
If I went back there again I’d of expected the wife to lock me up in a mental hostipal
also the syvecs ecu firmware had to be specially programmed by pat for compatibility for the jdm canbus
as previously poster by Dan . In short syvecs aka pat would of had to do this anyway
the biggest mistake I’ve ever made was that I never took my car to scoobyclinic in the first place
i would of saved money time and a lot of heartache

 

what sort of problem were created ? to me its looks like the car had the problems to start with but your saying they caused the problems with the car ?

i know it hurts you that your good mate made a complete ***** of my car but you need to accept it
garage in Murray motorsport. And mapper in bob Rawle
and between them they couldn’t resolve it over three visits
it’s not the last jdm hatch mr Rawle has ****ed up
go and ask him what happend to the jdm hatch he mapped recently and what Happened to that car and you’ll get the gist of it
I am haunted my car didn’t blow into a million pieces

 

The fly by wire plug was that badly damaged it was hanging off
debris in the fuel tank after they fitted the fuel pump
boost leak I had as a result of poor reinstallation of the inter cooler pipes when they fit the injectors
The map which I have already commented on numerous times the issues with the car as a result
in a car that would hardly start not start in many cases and was over fuelling it’s nuts off
the car drove perfectly up north before the first map


and subsequent visits the car returned exactly the same
tell me who’s to blame me is it ?
ill tell you for a fact both mapper and garage are to blame equally

 

Doesn't matter how many times you go to the same place if they are at the limit of their knowledge.

Reality is I don't think there are any other tuners out there who have done what clinic and pat have done with the syvecs.

Those that I know who have hit that limit tend to bodge round it.

 

It's very hard to beat having all the necessary expertise under one roof and the needed parts available to hand or at least know where to get them.
This car has been to too many people who have all had a go and seem to between them made a mess of things.
Subcontracting work out to other people and having no communication with them as to what to fix, modify or upgrade does not work.
Then basically walking away from the situation is not acceptable for their reputation or the customer.
The Clinic have done a sterling job on this mans car just to get it to where it is now cause they had to rectify a number of bodge jobs in Tidgys words.
The car was basically ready to be broken because it was in an unserviceable and undrivable condition.
Now they have to start work on rectifying the performance issues on miss sold/specced parts that were not compatible with the spec of the vehicle.

The saying too many cooks springs to mind but all the ingredients came from one place.
