handbrake on 1 rear stuck partly on
changing my rear disks other day noticed that 1 handbrake spring was bust and rear shoes were partly sticking on and that caused mines to steer slighly to left

i don't know why everyone is banging on about tyres. the problem is very present when the car is stationary... where the type of tyre doesn't matter. i move the steering wheel, i can feel the reaction of the mechanics are WAY off.
i don't know how exactly the steering works, forgive the lack of technical terms... but it feels exactly like the main long metal rods that connect down to the wheels are made of elastic bands, not metal!
like there are 2 rubber elastic bands acting as a pulley, moving the wheels left and right. where as the sensation should be tight, precise... with no major elastic/stretch feeling.
that's how it feels, and you don't need to be driving to feel it.

pretty sure if i parked the car with the front tyres against a kerb, and i could turn the steering wheel significantly without the wheels moving.
i have felt this before, would need to check it out in actuality.

either your steering rack is fooked, steering knuckle, or track rod ends
stop bloomin driving it before you knock down some poor innocent soul and go and get it feeking checked

seriously!!!!!!!
You were asked 2 days ago what tyres were on the car....
" hang on boss, I'm just going to spend 2 hours on scoobynet trying to get a resolution without actually answering the questions I'm asked"
Agree with people above this is a New year wind up and not a serious question
Happy new year to all you Subaru owners with 4 matching tyres

Ahh, I now know what this issue is!
I am so silly, of course we have all seen it before!
The issue clearly lies between the steering wheel and the driver seat. Replace that component and there will be no more issues.

If not a wind up my 4pennies worth
I took off a set of RE070's off my type20 and put on a set of Toyo R1 it made a well handling SCOOB into a tyre squeaking under steering wreck. RE070'are superb in the dry but in the wet will under steer badly. Under steer wrong tyres for road conditions. .
Try stationary, with engine on and turn your car lock to lock with one finger. If you can do that fairly easily Your tyres have either very little grip, steering pump pressure to high or possibly to much caster. Hence lack of feel.
Also most are 4wheel suspension set up and not just Tracking. Common that due to tyre wear if car does straight mileage rather then bends. The inner edges goes. Then they Dial out handling for less wear.
Tyre pressures are absolutely key to handling. Same tyre front and rear.
Drivers set up, adjustable suspension start up on softer settings. if 12 clicks top to bottom. Front 4 down & rear 6down. Rear anti roll bar 3holes put in middle. Everything solid like a go kart won't make it handle like one.
So pretty much as everyone else has said really
Lost interest as this seems a wind up
Happy new year.
