So picked the car up today, Andrew Carr's done a great job mapping it.

Also picked up a v7 sti trim and a rather rare s202 steering wheel,

Well cleaned the interior again, really happy with it now,

Then decided i better get the horn working, so made a bracket with a tail off it, this contacts the back of the wheel and allows the horn to work.

Looking mint jake I'm just wondering what you did to the airbag light? Is there a mod to take the light off?
Turning into a real one off unique subtly modified example and will be once your done

yeah air bag lights get cancelled with a 3- 3.3ohm resistor, one each for seats and one for the wheel, the previous wheel was a hawk wheel, so thats when the resistor went in for that lol

cheers

im looking for a genome boost gauge now lol

Cars looking well Jake! I would maybe swap out the WRX mats for some STI mats, bar that the car really looks spot on!

Matt.

With the added power i decided to change all the fluids, even though they haven't even done a thousand miles i wanted some better products in there.

Quick call to as performance and these arrived the day after. The oil filter, fuel filter and pollen filter were from the local motor factors.

Then i decided to swap out the scabby strut brace for one i had saved from ages ago.

Would like to dress the bay a bit but that can wait

i bet lol maybe a td05 would be better for me in the future then... btw i would stick with the gold alloys as it adds that extra needed contrast of your fog light colour looking at it from the front
Its what i wanted to do to a bug wagon i was inspired from IF i got one, it had mesh fog light covers which completed it imo. Found a pair for £50 a few months ago you should get em

I see that you're a bargain hunter lol.

This is the cheapest fully intact gauge and controller I could find (certainly already in the UK, at least).

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Wrx-S...%257Ciid%253A1

Obviously it's not cheap per se, but they are uber expensive* (ICP sell them new but are 'afraid' lol to disclose the price...they simply show 'POA'!)

*But then you already knew that.

Yeah, id love one but thats just too much for a gauge.

I set about porting my spare headers, i have been advised to leave a small lip, ive bevelled it best i can, not perfect vut hopefully it will help, then i attached my harvey trick up pipe, then wrapped the lot, going to soray seal them too.

Personally I wouldn't bother with the sealing spray. All it seems to do is degrade the tape in record time. Seen loads of complaints about the stuff.

Yesterday on the way to work i noticed grabbing again, felt the left side and again slightly hot, thought i jusr needed to do the final handbrake adjustment, so i took the back wheels off, cleaned and copper greased the pads, and calipers. But the hb is free, looks like i need atleast one rear caliper. The joys of old cars. Also need new stone guards ffs.

In better news my rebuilt hybrid td04 came in
