Thats it for pics as time was getting on, primed the turbk with the syringe of oil, then when read to start, pulled the crank sensor so it wouldn't start. Did this till oil pressure was restored, ie light out.

Then fire into life, and let it run on the ramp for 20 mins, while i tieded up. Checked for leaks and all good,

Andrew Carr is in for mapping next week, so hopefully then i can enjoy the car.

Well andrew carr has been to map the car today, and really happy with the results.

He said in 3rd gear its making 1bar boost 800rpm earlier, then pulls just like the vf till about 6k when it tails off were the vf kept pulling.

In real world driving the car is punchy, with bags of low down grunt. So much more drivable.

Really happy with the car now, the vf34 really ruined it

Nice work. The improved spool must make it much nicer to drive around.

I was only pulling your leg!

Was hoping Andrew could map my FSTI maffless, but he didn't seem to want to. Maybe next time.

Just read this thread from start to end (so far), brilliant!

Car is stunning (I remember meeting Rob who had it years ago on woodhead pass going for a quiet drive over the tops) ha. Thought it was nice then but now.....wow. All mods suit the car and then some pal.

Keep this thread alive I'm loving it.

Miss mine loads so it's good to see this.

Oh.......I think I did some work at your place years n years ago. Used to work for CCG Windscreens in Rochdale👍

so the hybrid turbo lasted 2 weeks before it stsrted buring oil, cars be sat two weeks at work whilst i found time to remove it, turns out the impeller wheel can move and touxh the housing,

also noticed the intake pipe was starting to split on the jubalee clip, so now i need a new silicone in take,

tbh getting disheartened with the car now,

had enough

Stick with it Jake. Sorry to hear about the problems. It's a roller coaster ride owning these things and you'll be on the up again soon enough.

Did you remove the manifold to paint it or how did you do it?

So had to do a job I didn't want or need to do, my neighbour decided to grind his trailer next to my car while I was out covering it in metal.

So I used a new fall out remover which turns metals purple, it was raining so this is the 4th or 5th time it soaked with the product.
