Well speaking as a recent customer I am somewhat in the middle. Does anyone know if they are picking up the phone yet ? I am less than happy with the service to be honest.

When I rang the phone rang out and eventually got diverted to an EE mobile answer service.

I must admit I am getting bad feelings about this despite my last post. Spoke to Simon a couple of times on the new number, he promised to get back to me by Friday 11th ( I think) heard nothing and since then have never been answered on the phone. Goes to an answer machine every time and needless to say there is no response to the messages I have left

Anyone any update on what's going on?

Just go down there and see if you are so worried.... You'll only be on here complaining you've been ripped off in a few months time, nip. It in the bud.

I agree, just go visit them if you're worried. That's what I'd do.

I heard from Simon last Wednesday (I think) explaining he's had issues with BT and they still haven't got his line sorted, yet they have diverted the calls to his mobile but he doesn't get signal at the new premises. That's ok for people to reply on here saying just go and visit, for me though its an 8 hour round trip, so I'm relying on people on here for updates rather than having to make the dreadful trip for disappointment lol!!

Info from this board is very helpful and usually reassuring!

An 8hr round trip? Boohoo, leave at a sensible time and you can still. Be home by lunch time to have a beer....

8hrs of your time, or potentially thousands of your hard earned down the pan if something is amiss. Not really a difficult decision is it chaps?

Not really crying about it, but yeah it's bloody inconvenient being so far away, the drive doesn't bother me, it's getting the time off work again and missing a days pay, yes it's a small price to pay but it still costs to make a trip to find your car in bits and not really gaining anything, hey if they have dissapeared with the cars... what is a trip going to do? I'm just going by judgement that when I took the car to them, they were highly spoken of, and typically I'm putting it down to bad timing that I've caught them moving premises. Yes it is worrying when you can't get hold of them, but again using this forum, I've spoken to a few people that have collected there cars which gives me that peice of mind that some is still around. Tbh I hadn't heard of enginetuner but yet I am new to the forum, also if it's the company in Plymouth then no unfortunately it's not closer to me (norfolk)

If they had my car, and they'd moved without telling me, I'd be going to see wtf they thought they were playing at, not getting fobbed off on the phone.

Doesn't/didn't Mick, Merlin24 on here work at API?

You guys are very patient and trusting. API's once good reputation will take some time to recover from this thread.

I have had enough as after 2 issues when I got mine back the clutch appears to be defective after only 1200 miles. Tried ringing several times but no one picks up. Not impressed at all.

Unfortunately API's good reputation has been let down by poor customer communication recently.
The standard of work has always been second to none, carried out by the best that are in the business, for the last 14 years !.
For this reason Merlin24 has now started his own business (along with others!)
RM Performance is based in Banbury, Oxfordshire 01295 277556, and myself or Mick will be more than happy to discuss, and also help you with any of your concerns.
Thanks'
Rob.

Good to know Rob.

If a company had my car then moved premises along with my car, if nothing else I'd want to go to make sure my car was there and still in good hands and at the same time I'd have a look at their new facilities to put my mind at rest. Irrespective of the distance involved or the loss of 1 days work when you are talking about something worth that much money to you! Just my opinion.

I hope API recover from this as they have been a well trusted name in the industry. I as many others know just how bad BT can be when you move house etc, so we need to keep that in mind and think positively.

Good luck!

Id wouldn't take 2 minutes to pop a thread on the site explaining whats happening, even if they cant contact every owner of every car they have in.

I agree with you. Not making excuses but maybe they are just busy getting the new place up and running?

I hope this gets sorted and lines of contact with API improve again.

It's never a good sign when a company stop answering the phone and stop replying to customer in my experience. Alarm bells would be ringing and I'd be in the car to go chat to them face to face and put my mind at rest.

I think it is genuinely they are having issues with BT which is no surprise when moving premises, but I agree with everyone that a simple update now and then would go a miss, if it wasn't for this forum then I would have been calling the police and heading down there lol!! It does get worrying when they have nearly had my car 5 months on a 4-6 week time frame, glad it's a toy for me and I don't rely on it! Just hope they give me a good "jeasture of good will" off the bill

Why should they give you anything? Its not a right to get money off because they took longer. You could have gone down there and sorted it by now, and let's face it, no project is ever as simple as it seems.

Sign of the times, everyone wants something for nothing.

If I knew you were angling for it before you even turned up to get something from me you. Wouldn't get a bean

Maybe your life style makes it an easy choice just to simply head down there and sort it out, if I had the choice to find someone closer to sort the engine out I would have done with no hesitations but no one in Norfolk touches impreza's with a barge pole! The simple thing is, it will get sorted yes it's a long winded process, and yes my point of a jeasture of good will, is simply a jeasture, not demanding it or even expecting it just simply as a point of customer satisfaction.

Customer satisfaction is nothing to do with how much money they give you off the bill....

The fact it has even crossed your mind rather than caring about getting the job done to a high standard or even worrying about what is going on says everything you need to know.

Personally, my life is just as busy as everyone elses, if not more so, I doubt many of you do nearly 100hrs a week. Yet if that was my car and that amount of money I'd make damn sure I'd find time to go sort it out.

Indeed, which is situated at that ind est. So, I 'assumed' that that premises has been taken over by RMP? Or not.

Hence why I'm politely enquiring, to estb. what's what.

May not have hit the google search list yet. Always takes a while for google to see a new website in search options from my experience. I only found the above through their facebook page.
