Considering Apple make the phone and the OS I would be pretty pissed if I did not get updates on an iPhone if and when the are released, as you know Samsung run a OS owned by Google. Not that Samsung are too bothered....
The S7 gets rave reviews everywhere it seems, the top selling phone of the year no less, not bad for a terrible display Jack.

With all the 'new' features on iOS10 which I am used to for a few years dont think I am missing out Jack, but whatever makes you happy.

You're right about iPhone sales declining, Apple make a long lasting prouduct, look at how last years iPhone trounces this years Samsung in real world tests, even I don't have a need to upgrade just yet. Although I'd love 3d touch, I have doubts you'll ever see that, if Samsung do manage to make something similar then can you imagine the thick layer of software they'd have to add to Android and you know how their software isn't exactly great.

I'd be careful quoting Samsung profit, I know you're a bit forgetful but they just burnt a few quid not quality testing their devices well enough. It's a hot topic right now. $14bn off the share price and the cost of replacing a million devices, not good.

Take the Galaxy S7 Edge, clearly an awesome phone, with an incredible camera, all the millions who purchased these devcies and have made it the top phone of 2016 cant be wrong and I would tend to take their advice over your rose tinted view.
iPhone sales are in decline, people are wising onto the fact that Apple make decent devices but for the most part are over priced for what they are.
considering only 4% of so of fanboys who bought iPhones earlier this year bought apple watches, Apple have their work cut out in this area too to make more growth.
I love the way you go on about trouncing Samsung in real world test. Don't see much 'trouncing' going on here.
grated the iPhone 7 is faster but mostly in single core as opposed to multi core tests and even then is has the tendency to sound like a snake under heavy load.
Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus owners have reported a strange hissing sound emanating from their new devices.
The sound, which is similar to the noise you hear when a speaker is poorly connected, could be caused by the new chip in the devices, which is designed to make the phones faster with improved battery efficiency.
American podcaster Stephen Hackett first noted the noise, discovering a sibilant sound coming from the back of the iPhone under heavy usage.

You might want to check your bed before you lie in it.

Now, I'd say these were edge cases and not worth mentioning, but you as a committed Fandroid just have to jump on the hate train.

They don't have 3d touch nor a Taptic Engine, I used an S7 edge last week for a while - had to move to my iPad as my friend couldn't use it to order a calendar and neither could I, unsupported browser I think - it had a pretty nasty vibration every time you touched it, same vibration every time, horrible.

And that's only on Multicore, your year old iPhone trounces the latest Samsungs in single core which is far more important. The latest is twice as fast in both and as Samsung and the others are using off the shelf components there's a chance they'll never catch up.

Owning an apple product places you clearly in the minority. Whether that's a pc or a smartphone. On that measure, android users exhibit far greater sheep behavioral characteristics than apple users do. So why are apple users sheep when android users are not?
The other bit I don't get is your obsession with forcing your point on this when no one really cares and Jack is just stringing you along, but I'll put that down to adult asburgers (I have a friend who has this and he exhibits the same symptoms). Why the obsession?
Of course I wouldn't expect someone with asburgers to be able to rationalise so i doubt I'll get reasoned comment from you to either of those questions, but lets see

DD, I think i know why this continues.....it is because of all the custard pie..... it is the closest thing they both will ever get to pie in real life so they are getting as much as they can right now

my ipad 2 is pants what should i do?
tbh im on an s6 and with updates i can tell thats slowing, lagging. friend has a ip6 its quite big, looks good. bad thing with apple products is the cost, if i moved back to apple it would be different and like getting a new phone, when i had ip3-4-5 it was like never really upgrading as most of it looked the same

Buy another, my old Mum can get away with using my cast off iPad 2 but at the end of the day it's 6 years old, that's staggering for a mobile device.

Yes, it came out in 2008 when Apple had a massive market share compared to Android. It kind of made sense back then. Now it's just weird when in one breath you shout isheep and the next you're spouting 80% Android market share like it's something to be proud of.
I'm about to board a plane - they've mentioned not using Samsungs again.

I can't top that My first generation iPad was gifted to my dad when I replaced it and he's still using it now (though it has been relegated to shed use for downloading manuals). It's even still in the original Apple case.

Jack (and quite a few others here) are deluded and living on a cloud somewhere.
Jack's rant about Android being a cesspit being a clear example of how is losing his marbles. For a cesspit of an OS its doing remarkable well.

Apple on the other hand ....
Apple iPhone 7 Sales Hide A Serious Problem
The various data sets are all pointing to a similar conclusion around the weaker historical performance of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus...
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are selling in numbers that any other smartphone manufacturer would desire, but the trend that Apple revealed back in its Q1 2016 earnings call is continuing. We are past peak iPhone, Apple’s smartphone sales are falling.
Ewan Spence , CONTRIBUTOR @ Forbes
To continue the downward slide they have been in.
But its ok, they have smarthpones that obliterate every other device in the planet in real world tests, right Jack.
The vast profits Apple have made are due in part to ripping off idiots for years with over priced devices, if I was said person I would probably behave like Jack here and rebuff everything said to me also.

2016 = -20 % market share
People want more from a device than over priced junk from iPhones.
That marvellous eco system doesnt look so good when you look at them figures does it Jack.
why dont you go work for Apple, you might be what they need.
Or simply hack into the Android OS, I am sure a clever man like you can do that easily to such a cesspit of a system.

So come on, how many of the vast number of different Android devices are actually any good? Having used a few, some of them are utter crap.
