Fed up with foreign holidays

Although on the one hand you are correct, kids for the most part are a bloody nuisance, I found myself on a flight either to/from Dubai (work) and close by were some quiet, well-spoken and well-behaved kids. I was actually pleased. The conversation between them and their father was indicative of the real reason for objectionable kids.
Their parents.
Their parents.
You are of course correct regarding the parents, who mostly lack any control over their brats and are seemingy unaware that others loathe being anywhere near them. Unfortunately in an aircraft getting up and going elsewhere is not an option, and jumping out has occasionally seemed preferable to enduring hours of sqawking and bawling.
I've just had a quick look and apparently 35% of all travellers would gladly pay extra for child-free aircraft. So come on airlines, who's going to be first?

+1'000'000 for child-free flights!
Hate being near people at the best of times, so being stuck on a flight with some screaming brat for hours on end, I seriously consider suicide...
And what is it with people whooping, cheering and clapping when the pilot lands the plane?! It's like your congratulating him on doing his job. I don't get high-fives and back-slaps from guests when I give them their hotel room key!
*clap* *clap* Well done on not killing me *clap* *clap*
As for holiday's, I'm 28 and absolutely DETEST places like Ibiza, Falaraki, club 18-30 etc... I'd rather go to somewhere like Lake Garda. Or Canada, so I can be on my own drinking ****-tasting Canadian beer and hunt Moose...

Scoobynet comments at their best
Keep away from council estate holiday destinations as the clientele normally like short haul as they need a *** after 2-3 hours and they can't relax and concentrate in the same seat any longer as they dream of finding the first Irish bar ,English breakfast establishment and mcdonalds and tacky soverinere shops
Try USA las Vegas is amazing and cheap for food or Niagro falls in Canada side
Or Singapore or honk kong for a real Asian experience for less then you would spend in the European resorts with the lower classes

Holiday wise, I can't think of anything worse than going to spain, ibiza etc on some package holiday.
Honestly there are so many better places in this world to visit.
OP, you should have a look at the Explore World wide tours website as a starting point for some interesting holidays, go with them if you're not comfortable going it alone.

The food in India is fabulous also.
Cambodia and Angkor Wat will be my next big holiday, only ever been on 2 package holidays, one to Gibraltar as a kid and one to spain that my mum gave me as she couldn't go and wasn't going to get a refund, so I used the complex as a base and hired a moped and went off traveling about on my todd, met some newlyweds from Blackpool, rented a car and went to Gibraltar with them, they still owe me money, that must be nearly 20yrs ago. wonder if they're still married.
Opps forgot a lads p1ss up in Majorka last minute jobby, although spent most of it totally wasted on Bacardi and coke.

I do a package deal for skiing.....the only part of that I loathe is checking bags in. I did drive once....which takes nearly as long as waiting around and coach transfers.
I've recently bought a caravan for my hobby, and actually quite enjoy short UK breaks in that. Shropshire is one my my favorite destination. Would like to do a multi day canoe trip down a river with camping.

I fly around europe quite often as part of my job. I switch off whilst queuing/stripping at airport security and just go with the flow. Summer months are a ballache as you get all the jolly holiday makers dicking around in the queues.
As soon as I'm on a plane the headphones go on and I immerse myself in the ipad watching films, downloaded youtube clips or music. Basically anything that shuts away noise. Screaming kids gone!
