Sadly, I now find myself watching a breaking news bulletin about something like this and find myself saying 'oh look, another one'. You know there's a massive problem when you react to something horrific like this...

I heard on the radio a figure of 142 "school" shootings since Sandy Hook

(although quite a sizable minority believe Sandy Hook never happened - and probably this a false flag too)

The fact i liked was something Obama came out with at one point. That in 1 year, more Americans are killed by their fellow Americans than are killed by terrorists.

yes, their gun related crime states are shocking

the 142 figure (I will edit my post) actually relates to School shootings!!!!!!!

"According to the FBI, in 2012, there were 8,855 total firearm-related homicides in the US"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_vi..._United_States

that is well over 20 a day every day

So what's Mr President going to do about this? Start counting down the days until the next school shooting? An on-going tragicity that can't be turned around?

What's perhaps no less (or even more) astonishing is that there were close to another 6,000 homicides in the same year, committed by other means than a firearm.

Why does any one care? Leave the cun1s to it. And let them shoot each other. They made their own bed.

Nothing much he can do, the pro gun lobby in the States has too much power. He'd never manage to get a change to the second amendment through congress.

Could they not restrict NEW applicants to one firearm only or something like that and begin a logging process? It seems that with all these shootings, the shooter is obsessed with guns and has an arsenal of weaponry. Although it won't stop mad gunmen, it could be a step towards licensing firearms otherwise there is just simply no end in sight. Or just begin a logging process for new applicants with no limit on the number etc. No idea really, just thinking out loud.

Nothing; That's what he'll do.

Obama has done NOTHING for the USA since he became president. He blurts out the usual rhetoric, and has nothing to show for it.

Except for the Nobel peace prize (which made it a farce), he did nothing and they gave him a prize? Just WTF?

Cash for clunkers? Yeah Ok, I'll give him that....scrap a load of useful cars so that the owners buy VWs that give out over ten times their quoted pollution. Bravo Obama, bravo

I heard Piers Morgan on recent Oregon shootings. I know that many of you here think he's a conkerhead, I thought he was on the point on that.

I don't Obama is to blame tbh - he has been stymied by Congress whenever he has tried t do something about Gun control

they can't even bring themselves to limit assault rifles

the sad fact is that he (and pretty much any US president) is totally out manoeuvred by powerful vested interest and lobby groups - especially with regards to guns and even climate change

Regarding that article, it's so stupid though how that's happened. Seriously.

Her boyfriend left his tactical vest and a loaded gun in the back of the car.

The toddler was NOT strapped into a child seat

How did the Mother not even notice the toddler scrambling around and picking up a gun?

It beggar's belief!

Leaving the pistol with a round chambered goes against all safety procedures. If it was a Glock or similar it would need little trigger pressure to fire it, and if it had an external hammer then this must have been left in the fully cocked position, hammer back, or it would have been impossible for a toddler to fire it. The pistol owner is to blame.

FOUR kids under three fatally shot by themselves since the beginning of this year.

I do think that, if they do NOTHING else, this irresponsible attitude to allowing toddlers access to guns has to be severely punished.

So its not just a conspiracy to disarm American citizens then?

Look deeper into this, MUCH MUCH deeper, but only if you feel that you want to know the truth.

The world will be a better place without guns, and while I am glad that we dont have them in any great numbers in this country, I feel that the Americans have the right to have guns if they so wish.

Remember, guns dont kill people, people kill people.

I agree that much tighter control is required to lessen the genuine gun issues in America, but a lot of what you see are hoaxes merely created to make guns look like the enemy for political reasons.

There are actually many millions of legally held guns and firearms in the UK, kept by registered owners. In the US the registered firearm genie long ago left the bottle and nothing can be done to put it back. Perhaps requiring a licence to purchase ammunition could be a start though, it would at least flag up the regular users and gun owners.

Oh dear a Sandy Hook hoaxer

The are pretty much the lowest of the low,

They peddle the myth that no one died at Sandy Hook, no children no teachers, all a big hoax - a false flag

And the grieving parents are simply "crises actors" and their children did not die!!!!!!!

Simply posting long debunked cr4p (much like the hillsborough thread)
