Well, sales and marketing involves copious amount of bull in a lot of businesses, let's face it. You don't tell fibs but I've been sold a car or two and some other things that were nothing like what the salesmen said. Bullsh7tting is one of the major competencies of a sales/marketing person.

The nearly unique technique of not BSing means a slow start to any sales job but it sure does pay dividends if you hang in there (and avoid getting fired for not pretending you've made a miraculously good start).

Sales is in every single job from selling ideas to selling yourself (not literally) in interviews. The 80s style "gift of the gab" sales goon doesn't last very long.

Dodgy car salesman, door to door harassers, etc give it a terrible name but without sales, you have no business.

BSers rarely last long.

That's a one-track mind analysis, and shallow in itself. He could simply be a confrontational type, regardless of who he was trying to rescue. Or he could have been just someone with his own perspective on the event. At the end of the day, what we see is our perspective, not always the reality of what we see.

PS Actually Apple might want him banned from using their products. The whole "if you haven't got an Iphone then you're not one of the cool kids" approach looses something if he's the face people associate with the brand!
