Thanks Sean, looks really good mate.
The biggest issue I have is the typical office PC seating position just doesnt lend itself well to driving. My main problem in rectifying that problem is that is I dont want to change the desk layout as its still my home office and I need to be able to move the "cockpit" out of the way and resume normal office work.
That said...
Ive just seen this option on their website! Might be just the ticket! Will have a look at dimensions and measure up later. I fear the fact my minitor height being a "fixed" factor, is going to be an obstacle!

I was messing around with things on my main PC (not the gaming rig) and installed PCars. I hooked up my xbox controller.............. YUK!!!!! It felt terrible to use.
How do you console boys get used to a controller on this game..... it felt pretty terrible to me. A wheel is measurably better. I couldn't play with a controller in this instance.

I was playing Project cars in last couple of days, full details at 1080(1920x1080) on R9 290,still unhappy with few bits, but game looks awesome, handling is not the best, its bit like old NFS Shift and those settings are not correct,if I can say this mildly(comparing this to LFS or rFactor,AC which are proper SIM)
Yes I'm playing too with controller,no space too for steering wheel and really if you know setup Xbox joypad then is OK too,yes steering wheel is great,I've tried friend G27 which from original G27 have probably only name
Thanks,Jura

Steering going loose as you start to understeer, jump a crest or touch grass, even down to the rumble you get as you start to exceed the tyres limit of adhesion.
Same from the rear, oversteer, everything just feels "right", it even responds to steering with the power, the feedback responds accordingly as you try to correct understeer with power oversteer etc.
Hit a big kerb and it can rip the wheel from your hands if your not carefull, just how it should be. Its the only game I have ever tried that seems to have got this feeling realistic. Pretty damn incredible, but sadly, one of the main reasons im dissapointed with project cars, as now I know how it "Could" feel.
Having been a sim fan for years, ive invested in a T500RS and Pedals and this games leagues ahead with them. You can feel everything as it happens.

Please have look on Life for speed and rFactor 2 and I think iRacing with R3E RaceRoom, those games I usually play when I'm looking for SIM and best forum which I've used is Race Department(great forum for setups and help) http://www.racedepartment.com/forums/ and really good website is this http://www.virtualr.net/
And about the AC,this game is my favorite with above listed games, although Career mode is not so much "deep"
But agree about the physics and handling,I'm playing this only on X360 controller which I know is not the best for testing the real physics of the cars, but already tested this game with friend setup G27
Agree with pCars is bit disappointing in this,if people looks for "simcade" then I would recommend this game, but if you are looking for proper SIM,then I would have look for other games
Thanks,Jura

Its just a shame the career mode is a bit, well, crap.
Agree they don't look awesome such as pCars or Asseto Corsa, but for me is more important how car handles and gameplay, physics model etc in whole like graphic, yes agree graphic is important and in most cases is very important,I like the games with good graphics, but sometimes developers makes good looking game with awesome graphic and there is no gameplay or is pretty much poor, but yes AC career is not the best, but seen worse too
My spec is pretty much still based on on older X58,but I've upgraded CPU to X5670 6core/12 threads and still for 80USD which is OC to 4.2GHz(tried 4.4GHz,but I would need to run more vCore, which I don't want to) and still with CF R9 290(with borrowed friend R9 290,I've only one R9 290,but I will have one more GPU in coming weeks) seems everything is fine and no bottlenecking which is good and Xeon upgrade leased new life to old X58,really worth to upgrade Xeon if someone is on X58
Eyefinity is what I'm looking to get,but tested Oculus Rift DK2 in Asseto Corsa, which is what I will be getting rather instead if will be released to public, final product(I would rather say "IF"),if not then DK2 is looking like good buy for me,but we will see
Thanks,Jura

Has anyone perfected the settings for a game pad. Personally I find the handling truely ****e. Something to do with the steering sensitivity. On a 125 kart, at slow speeds, I can have full lock and yet it won't steer at all! Anyone else have this issue. I don't want to get a wheel and chair setup as the Xbox is in my living room!
I have spent 3 hrs trying to perfect the game pad setup with very little improvement. Surely there I can't be the only one with this problem?

Here are my settings for XBOX 360 controller on PC
Steering Deadzone: 10
Steering Sensitivity: 10
Throttle Deadzone: 20
Throttle Sensitivity: 30
Brake Deadzone: 20
Clutch Deadzone: 10
Clutch Sensitivity: 44
Speed Sensitivity: 50
Controller Filtering Sensitivity: 44
Force Feedback: 80
RPM/Gear Display: Yes
Controller Input Mode: 3
Advanced: On
Soft Steering Dampening: On
Visual Wheel Filtering: On
Opposite Lock Help: Off
Those settings seems works for me on 125cc karts and on other cars in pCars which I've tried to the date
Hope this helps
Thanks,Jura
If those settings doesn't help you, then please try to lower Steering Deadzone to 0,this usually cure issue with full lock, you need to try settings which will work on yours
Hope this helps
Thanks,Jura
