Yes. Although it is hard to argue with people that don't get that. The tired phrase is of course "But if you have nothing to hide ... ". And I don't (most of the time ) but I would quite like that decision to be mine rather than the software that is monitoring my usage ...

You are all on an open social media platform. You are sharing information all the time, some legal and for some illegal. Even on closed networks and so called "dark web" areas technology is still watching you.
But, there is not a security service in the world that can process all the information they harvest. But they will target individuals who they think are a risk or are committing offences. Even East Germany at the height of the Cold War still had difficulties getting the information with their massive stool pidgeon network within the Stasi.

Wake up and understand that we are small fish in a big barrel but can and will be targetted if we are suspect.
