Right, need to make a choice of the following,
2.1 closed deck block
2.5 forged open deck
2.5 will be limited to 450 for obvious reasons but the low down grunt is epic on the road,where as 2.1 will be good for mid 500's no problem but is more of a revvy engine

2.5 forged but it closed.. I bitterly regret not getting mine closed.. Your already spending a few grand getting it forged..I should think another grand will get it closed and machined for 14mm studs..
Even if you have to wait for other external mods.. Get it closed!

Ah great cheers.
Mines gonna be based on 2.0 cdb, v5 heads, so no avcs which may take away some of the spool, but also gt spec gen 2 headers, harvey up pipe and syvecs ecu. not planning on pushing it too far yet due to costs, but want to future proof it.
Been trying to decide between 2.5 and 2.1 and given the spool gain between a 2.5 and yours isnt huge think i will prob go 2.1 and have it ready to crank it up at a future date
