Yeah, they do, weapon69. They can't handle it, and their whole existence is incomplete unless there's a woman to hold them again. As I say, there're plenty of such insecure women as well, but men seem to move on quicker, in general.

By the same token I avoided all men who were 45, never married, no kids and longest relationship was less than 1 year. Red flag
I have no personal experience of on line dating sites. But I have collected ample second hand experience of on line dating by listening to others' narratives. People can hide a lot under their on line profile, so this on line dating business sounds quite obscure and dubious. I can imagine that mature men with the history of a number of short term relationships are less reliable, because perhaps they're just serial daters, and that's it.

Such people must be either very unhappy people for they can't develop healthy attachments and keep moving from one relationship to other. Or they may be very happy, because they don't attach greatly with anyone, and they don't need to commit to anyone.

I also know someone recently engaged who met someone on match.com. Horses for courses it seems!
Sure. I've also heard of some happy endings, but such positive stories weigh less in compare to the time wasting ones.

Yeah, and you should put down that that girl will have to put up with your high appreciation for Jeremy Clarckson as well.

In my opinion, wise move. But then again, free country.

I think you should do that, anyway. Girls will like you more if you have one of them.
lol I might go completely the other way and date Clarkson..he's split up too ! lol

What a good idea!

You do love him , but for a gentleman you seem to be, I can't see you going round with the rough head JC , punching people, or calling others names because it's funny to him. No way.

Opposites do not attract, the theory has been disproved.

I reckon with all this technical and lifeless on line dating milarky, where the useless dodgy characters look for a bit of sex and nothing else, where you have to put up your picture and mini CV up to be judged before anything else, the old-fashioned true romance has been well and truly murdered, man! Where have those days gone, when you physically bumped into someone, let your books down intentionally, so that they can pick them up for you, your eyes meet, and then.................bingo!

Well played but no, silly! I was on about some book library academic stylee, like.

Perhaps I should have said "Hurray! " instead of "bingo".

Meeting like that these days - old-fashioned, misty-eyed stylee - would indeed be some kind of Mecca.

I see the OP isn't up for online dating but have to be honest I've quite enjoyed it. Once you get chatting with someone its not hard to work out if you're going to get on - they ask questions, you ask questions etc etc. You can tell from someones responses whether they are worth the time - the girl I found really boring on the date was boring when chatting online so wasn't a shock, just went with it anyway as I had nothing else to do that night.

Everyone has skeletons once you get over say 30 odd but they usually come out pretty quick. The ones that are only on there for ego boost soon show up when you talk for a while then suggest a date and get some flannel about not being ready. The ones that say they are fed up of being seen as a piece of meat and treated badly yet their profile pics has them in skimpy clothes with their ***** in your face. Typical red flags - tx spk, 4+ kids but longest relationship less than 1 year, Profile nothing more than a list of demands which screams "entitlement"

On dates, I've had a couple of girls say they had injunctions out on their ex - binned them as I don't need some mental ex to deal with. One girl got all the way to the bedroom then started crying and said she wasn't over her ex - ended up doing the agony aunt routine for her but was proper awkward. One girl went from "hello" to explicit in less than 48 hours but blew it when she added me on FB and I discovered why she only had headshots and didn't show her teeth

Best thing with online dating is not to take it too seriously and not expect to find the person you'll spend the rest of your life with on there. You might get chatting with a girl and think it's going well but they suddenly stop replying - meh, it happens for all sorts of reasons and you'll do it too so don't take it to heart. Whats even funnier is when they started messaging again because the guy they stopped talking to you for has gone quiet on them.
