The fact the producer didn't even make a complaint shows what an utter ar$e the BBC are making of themselves. Yes discipline Clarkson for his behaviour but he was the one who owned up to his own bad behaviour as opposed to anyone making an official complaint so all this money being wasted on an official investigation is just pathetic. I hope figures are made public on just how much money the BBC have wasted on this debacle, both through an investigation and in the 3 episodes not now being aired.
Its fine we the licence payer will stump up for it ....

Is Plato not still involved with 5th gear? As for Evans
I still can't see it, I get the impression he has very little if any interest in being a TV personality.

They're making the leftover footage into an extended episode according to the Top Gear website:-

Thank goodness it's all over ! I actually watched it tonight, well 3/4's of it which is a record for me. The bit I enjoyed watching the most was the Japfest section strangely enough, everything else was average at best. Don't get me started on the caravan racing/destruction derby though same old top gear at it again; nothing new there. Hopefully Chris Evans will bring fresh ideas to the table and make it enjoyable once again.
A few days ago I watched an old episode of TG on Dave (I think it was from 2006) and Clarkson was testing a Jaguar X type estate. You know, a family estate car, affordable, manual V6 engine and it was really good to watch, relatively sensible and an honest review of a normal car.

I thought the last film this evening was the funniest I've seen in a long time. I know there will be critics and a lot of it was typically staged, but it had me in stitches. They all looked like they were genuinely having a laugh with the caravans, and the section at Japfest was good too.

RIP Top Gear!
Absolutely no interest in watching Chris Evans, but looking forward to the new programme Clarkson/May/Hammond are on on Netflix or whatever! Tonights episode involving studio scenes with just May & Hammond basically highlighted to me that it's nothing without Clarkson.
