Nowt wrong with the 6 speed really Jamie. Options are swap to a later Hawkeye 6 speed as it has taller gearing allowing you to stay in 4th. Swap to JDM ratios as that'll give you a nicer change 4th to 5th, that's what I have in mine.
Add more power, lose more weight

We always need more power.... still need to formulate some plans Martyn about putting the extra tank in for the race fuel we chatted about on the last map...

Looking for a type r shell, and I think my engine has spat a shim again, so going to look at bringing my CDB in so you guys can work your magic

Probably the same way Banny learnt to tell me what times I'd run.

I never questioned him but he knew somehow.

1.8 is my best. Was wheelspinning though, so could be better in dry conditions.

These were all the best times for the day, my car (X55) even beat the 0-60 foot of a 720bhp STI. (X444)

Matt you are missing the point, with more power it is harder to get good 60ft times due to balancing the power and grip etc.... Even with sticky tyres grip is hard to find at that kind of power.

Your lower power output would make it easier to get the grip off the line

The reason I bested most 0-60 foot times that wet, cold and 'muddy' day is due to lack of torque my car makes. Just 307lbft. Running 12.6 in a Newage with just over 300lbft, think about it.

I'm possibly the only advocate on here of using too big a Turbo for the desired boost.

Ideally I'd like to run 370/320 using an even larger turbo at low boost, this will give me a clean get away but good power to sing beyond 5,000rpm, which I won't see below in all honesty. (Unless I fluff a gear) Also with the benefit of running a big turbo in it's efficiency zone my terminals should dramatically improve as currently engine over-heating means I dramatically fall off the pace over 80mph.

For reference: My first run of the day always gives me the highest terminal. I've noticed this with the likes of Andy Forrest too.

Only true on a crappy surface like you're used to Jamie, on a proper prepped strip big power will win out every time

My 60fts have been diabolical at Dakota with 1.8 being the best I've managed since competing there despite running a 10.06 1/4.
The car used to run 1.6 60fts with 200+hp less and a fair bit more weight at Shakespeare County Raceway.

I bow down to your superior knowledge you just need to get some bigger brakes or a parachute so you can wind it up to full power next time and get that 9!

The slip he has submitted has X57 on it and ties in with his times he stated, I thought X55 was a typo.
