I am doing a track day at Llandow this Saturday in my wifes mini cooper S . If it survives the day, i will probably sign up for this if there are spaces left and i can persuade the mother-in-law to have my toddler for the day.

I'm just waiting to catch up with my buddy simon to grab the cash off him, I'll settle up for the 3rd space then Matt.

He has asked if there is an age or height limit for passengers as his daughter is deeply in to the motor scene, she is 15 I believe. I said I wasn't sure but didn't think it would be too much of a problem?

I think all participants need to be at least 19, I could be wrong though. This is the Llandow website showing their rules:

Just had this reply guys for anybody else in the future who may be wanting to know the same kind of question:-

Hi Craig
Provided that she is over 1.5m in height and over 14 yrs she can come on the trackday as a passenger. She will need a parent or guardian to be present to sign our declaration. She will also require a helmet that fits her properly. We have some available to hire at the track if required

Hope that helps

Kind regards
Sharon

So it looks like all is good

That's great news, although Llandow should be clearer on their site about it.

Not long now, really looking forward to meeting you all

Had a great day on Saturday up Llandow. Span out 3 times! Overcooked it coming into the bus stop and ploughed over the grass verge. Span coming out of the bus stop and did a Big spin at 60mph coming out of the glue pot taking the traffic cone and half the field with me.

It was a dry day but the curcuit was slippy at the beginning of the day.

One bloke with a track clio that had a scooby lump in it ( car had scoobybits logos on the car) locked up at the chicane and crashed into the barrier/tyres and ruined the fibre glass panels, rear wheel and looked like they had done damage to the rear axle. The car was dragged off the curcuit by the rescue truck.

Hi All,

Well we almost have 30 cars so all looking good on that front.

Below is what the sequence of events will be for the day :

As one of the smaller Circuits in the UK, Llandow offers a unique opportunity for Novice and Intermediate drivers to enjoy some technically challenging corners in a controlled environment.

All participants are given a full safety briefing and our Chief Marshal is available for advice and guidance throughout the day.

Max no of Cars on track at any one time – 10

Cars will be filtered onto the circuit from the start area and a chequered flag displayed from the control tower will signify the end of the 20 minute sessions.

Drifting will not be allowed unless advertised as a Drifting day, our case, its not unless its a 4 wheel drift and your spitting flames

The itinerary of our car trackday is:
8.30am – Gates open
9.10am – Signing on
9.30am – Circuit Safety Briefing (will be announced over tannoy system)
10.00am – 5.00pm – Track activities
1.00pm – 2.00pm - Lunch break
3.15pm – 3.30pm – Afternoon break
5pm - Track closes

Please remember to wear clothing that covers all arms and legs, appropriate footwear and bring a helmet.

Also remember to bring your licence.

The cafe onsite will be open all day and offers cold & hot food at very reasonable prices.

Any questions, just ask.

I'm thinking I really should do something to the old bm! Can she really turn up on180k with never being on a track, on oil that's done 15k and euro carparts discs and pads

She needs a new viscous fan as well bless her, she ain't gonna know what's happened come Saturday

Tyres are just legal on the back so should be fun

Who said track days were expensive LOL!

I might just pop along as a spectator as I'm off next Saturday and it's been ages since I've been along to watch any track action.
