The original blade runner was brilliant.
And bioforger is right. you only have to watch the original total recall to realise how ****e the new total recall was.

Watched Gravity last night, having seen it first on release 4 years back. Thought it was better than I remembered - pretty awesome movie tbh!
Amazing special effects and CGI, and certainly something a bit different (all Hollywood seems to come up with these days is re-makes and superhero movies)

Its a continuation, not a reboot. The short films, by other directors, that were made to join up the time between events of the first and second films are pretty cool. Also, well received by critics so far, so fingers crossed it looks like it might be good!

There's loads of streaming sites (that obviously stream movies that are hosted off their site to get around legality issues!) vmovee.me and lots of others, just search

Cheers Petem95 for the stream tip.
I was home alone last night so watch "Out Walking" and "Sniper ultimate Kill". Both pretty dull, the latter was similar to all those other usual sniper films, and the former could have been so much more, there was scope for such a great watch, yet seemed to be a bit of brain freeze by the script writer in places.
What next......

Just watched the Harry Potter 4k UHD HDR boxset, why the hell have they darkened and desaturated it so much!!! It's now black and white with a random scattering of yellow here and there that bleeds into little hues of violet.
It's a magical kids tale not Alfred Hitchcock. ...fuming.

Bladerunner 2049
Personally if it wasn't in the BR universe it would get a 5/10. As it is then it's upped to 6.5/10.
It's a bit dull. I also struggle to like Jared Leto in just about everything.

Watched a load of other "recent" films over xmas/new year, but as some were so forgettable I cant even remember the names.
American made, reasonable, but full of made up scenes. Watch Narcos tv series instead.
Baby driver, mmm not sure, not bad.
Bladerunner 2049, sh1te as predicted.
Darkest hour, superb.
Dunkirk ok, but has flaws.
IT, fair to good.
Logan, superb.
Spiderman homecoming, average, enjoyed pieces of it.
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, superb effects otherwise cack. "Acting" is woeful, plot sucks.
Last Jedi, yea pretty decent.
Latest pirates of the carib, ok, more for kids.
Wonder Woman, actually fairly decent
Bright, absolute sh1te! "a modern day twist on lord of the rings" yea right, my **** is it. Just a chase film with a boss fight at the end, so predictable and cack. Even the effects were crap.

Biased here as I love X-men films, but watched ‘X-men: Apocalypse’ the other night, absolutely loved it. Thoroughly recommended. I’m sure the nerds will pick holes in, tell you things are incorrect etc, but if you’re like me and just like the superhero thing, it’s a great watch!
