Recommend me some films
So so, and fairly low budget, but it all adds up to make it feel more real - found footage films with excellent acting (and copious ghost cgi) don't quite work as "home movie" ala "End of watch"
Might watch the sequel tonight!

Nikki Lauda is incredible
Get hard has to be in my top 10 of worst films ever watched, what a complete waste of 90mins, utter sh1te!
Anything else? Any new decent yank TV series worth viewing, I've seen everything pretty much now lol

Not into horror films, anyway.
I started Better Call Saul after watching Breaking Bad. I could only watch couple of episodes of BCS, as found it boring. May be it gets better after a bit, but perhaps I should have watched BCS first, and then BB.
BCS does get a bit better as it goes along, but it failed as it promised to relate back to some characters in BB, but there were only a couple of those characters involved. I enjoyed it after BB though. It would be difficult to compete with BB either way as it was superb.

What else do you suggest that is as curiously semi-dark as BB, Bio? I started on another one i.e. some BBC production (can't remember the title) in which a really tall detective has anger issues and his missus has found some other geezer. So he kicks a good enough door down. Watched only one episode but the acting in it was so bad that I'm not going to bother with that. There's a weird looking psycho girl in it who has killed her family including the family dog. She seems a bit edgy with salivating lips, but that alone cannot claim my precious time. Story is terrible as well. There's no sense of curiosity about it. You can predict everything far in advance. Utter shoite.
So, please suggest something as gripping as BB on Netflix, please. I like watching an episode or two of a good something-like-that after a tiring day.
Banshee if you haven't seen it, not similar to BB, but very watchable, pretty violent in places. You have 4 Series to watch, chop chop. You must have seen Prison break? again excellent.
And a dark vamp series, The Strain i enjoyed. And True Blood, you must have seen that?

Thank you very much, and I shall check out Banshee to begin with.
Second season of True Detective has just started. It looks promising.
Sense8
Are worth a watch as well apparently, although not seen either yet.
If you like legal/political shows then;
House of cards and
Suits
Wasn't feeling it after the first episode. Too many characters being introduced. And the bike bit was very poor.
Did I mention I watched Snowpiercer the other day? Complete turd of a film with big names that really should have known better. Ed Harris and John Hurt being particularly noticeable in what was a pi55 poor film.
Watched a couple - not for those that are a)squemish - you'll know what I mean when you watch the first ep and b)homophobic. Everyone is LGBT and those that aren't probably will be by series 2. It's not bad though.
Tried a few episode of The Last Ship. 'murica, F*** Yeah! blow stuff up, F*** Yeah! terrible performances by pretty much everyone on board? F*** Yeah! Who produces this ****? (that's rhetorical btw)
Orange - after a few eps of muff diving and realising the cook is Janeway from Star Trek: Voyager, got a bit boring - not neough axes and stuff blowing up.
Speaking of axes - Vikings - 250% Vikings - I like this so much more than Game of Thrones. I think it's on History channel but it is on Amazon Prime.
Hannibal Season 3 has started. Some think it's overly pretentious nonsense but that, frankly, is what makes it so special.
Bosch - if you got Amazon Prime, this is good.
Started Ray Donavon - really good series. Worth a watch.

I haven't read the previous 18 pages of this thread, but if it hasn't already been mentioned, Spartacus is my personal favourite series of all time. I've watched every episode four or five times. Four seasons in all, the order being: Blood and Sand, Gods of the Arena, Vengeance, and The War of the Damned. Truly epic stuff. Violence, action, gore, bordering pornography (gang bangs, threesomes, etc.), the strongest and most vulgar language ever screened on TV, and, in my opinion, a great storyline and amazing acting, too.
The first three or four episodes of the first season are the worst, although still not bad. I only say that as it takes a few hours of watching for the plot to thicken and to become familiar with the characters and their individual struggles. I told all my mates it was the greatest thing I'd ever seen, they all watched it, they all agreed. Warning: extreme adult content!

Also, Hunt's 'Play hard, party hard and be real' portrayal was well done, too.

Don't bother with Sense8, only good part was the Dj playing one of my favourite tunes.
Boring and very disjointed, no not for me.
Mr Robot there's just the pilot and i loved it, it's about a guy with some social anxiety disorder who works as an it tech on behalf of some big corporate giant who is basically the anti christ.
Anyway does his job during the day, but at night hacks various social sites, and if he gets an itch for someone than he has to scratch it. In that he digs up their entire life history and proceeds to tear them a new one should anything shady show it.
It's the kind of show that'll have you changing your passwords once you've finished, and i loved every bit of it.
