Is 60 miles around town good for £20 worth of v power
The most power I've had was in a b4 legacy 5 speed at 360 bhp. I used to give it hell everywhere and averaged about 18 mpg. In my blob wrx i used to get about 25 mpg but as before it was hardish driving.
At £1.38 per litre your pushing 23-24mpg, that's not that bad if you go on boost often and have decent sticky tyres running around 30psi.
Maybe change your oil and plugs if you haven't done so for a while and see if things pick up a bit.
I'm unsure what MPG you'd get from a faulty MAF sensor, tired fuel pump, post MAF air leak or front Lambda sensor etc.
Plugs n oil are up to scratch.
The other bits you mention could need a check.
I did plan on having simon jgm give the the map a check/tweak at somepoint but due to the tragedy that happened to him,he's excellent brains and expertise will unfortunately never help me improve my car now.

I see some things never change on this forum, its still the WRX v STI debate. A good few years ago i owned a WRX PPP blobeye (does the Prodrive make a difference?) And it was rubbish on fuel, ive now got a MK2 RS and guess what thats rubbish on fuel. You dont buy these cars if your bothered about fuel economy.
OP, that's exactly what I get on the urban cycle... I get around 180mls from c.£63 of VP Nitro+ @ 127.9ppl. Works out about 16.5mpg.
This is in a 1270-1300kg Classic (not inc. me lol).

On WY-Scoobs.com the lads had a bit of a to do about cruising in 30mph zones in top gear, I always have mine in 5th when cruising at any speed over 30mph but most of the guys said they'd leave it in 3rd until 40 or 50 I think. I told them mine would be screaming it's knackers off in 3rd cruising at 40-50mph (and my 3rd is woefully long!) but they wouldn't have it.

I've said that Impreza Turbos are crap on fuel and that there are cheaper, better and more comfortable cars to use as a daily if the running costs are too high - yet that's me apparently knocking them!

New owner saying his Impreza is juicy on fuel......what a surprise!
Go on, sell it on cheaply because you can't afford to run it and continue the demise of a fantastic brand.

Should mention my friends standard wrx blob, could be in 5th at 30mph without much drama. Its obviously depends on mods and set-up
Didn't say it was to much for me and certainly won't be selling it, was just asking the question so dont talk to me as if I'm thick
Obviously, it depends on a particular car's gear ratios and final drive, but generally speaking, in my experience, 'most' cars' threshold for labouring in 4th and higher is around 1500-1750rpm.
So when pootling/'economy driving', I tend to change up between 1750-2000rpm.

and its was still destroyed by my sti on the road
to say the least you need to add a turbo,a fmic and different injectors on top of the mods your mrs had and you'll be somewhere near me! Which is quicker than any standard or mildly tuned sti

and you have an sti turbo without the rest oif the good sti bits

Dan has an inferiority complex and very possibly a small ****. The sti , in his mind, goes some way to make up for his disability.

For the record my wrx was quite happy trundling along at 25mph in 5th tonight.

Not unrealistic for an Impreza around town.
I get 24mpg from mixed driving from my near standard wrx.
Read it again tommy todger lol i said on top of the mods your mrs had. And you do mention a remap dont you??
