i only have 256 bhp and you have 330 and all you managed was 0.2 faster with less weight and more bhp.

If this is your idea of one car outperforming another, then it illustrates what I have said all along, you talk out of your ****.

What you see there is one driver beating another. The advantage gained by one car over the other by virtue of a superior reaction time, as in this instance, is referred to (by those who have more than half an idea of what they're talking about) as a 'Hole Shot'.

It's on the Santa Pod database, I phoned up with the T*** *** reg. Not bad for a mapped STI PPP with 430bhp, running 256 on the day.

I do understand what you are saying about reaction, bogging down and even racing the clock but it doesn't negate all the times that explicitly point to the WRX (or 5 speed equipped car to be fair) being the faster straighliner at power levels up to around 20% in difference.

Just to make a point, the standard 2003 JDM STI Spec C (thats 280ps/290lbs of torque out of the box, not remapped and Subaru japans figures) 0-100mph 11.1 secs standing 1/4 13.0 secs @ 108mph, thats 50bhp less than a tuned and stripped WRX.
